First of all, you cannot borrow money and represent it as your own to CIC. The money you show has to be yours. Second, your plan will likely not work because
1)at some point in the application process, the visa officer will ask you for a 6 month history of your bank account.
2) you will have to show the proof of funds at the time you enter Canada after getting the PR visa.

So, it's best to wait until you have sufficient fund of your own and then apply. Remember, misrepresentation is a fraud and if found you will not only be rejected but also banned from applying later on for some time.
Yes I forgot about this part. You actually have to bring the funds with you to Canada.

but I have a property I just can,t sell it now because it will take some time to be sold . and sure by the time I got PR I will have sold it and got more than enough money
I suggest you sell it ASAP if that is how you plan to raise the settlement funds. Settlement funds must be yours and not borrowed, and must be liquid and unencumbered. If you think you are worth making an exception for, make an argument to CIC to grant you an exception. Misrepresentation will get you into serious trouble and you will be lucky to ever enter Canada again even as a visitor. Are you willing to accept this risk?

Hello Senior Members,

I have a question in regards to Experience letter & NOC, Can you please help on this query.

I have 10 years experience in IT with 6+ years as IT Consultant (2171) worked for 3 different companies. Earlier to that I worked as Programmer for 2+ years (2174).

I'm planning to apply for NOC 2171,When submitting the employer reference letter, is it okay if I submit experience letter only for 6+ years or should i submit the experience letter for 2+ years as programmer as well.

Please help

Regards
You should try to submit your letters for all employment during the past 10 years. If this isn't possible, you should at least explain why. It won't negatively affect your application, so long as you have enough points from those letters you were able to provide.

the cc of Holland and Argentina has been charged! PER issued and the file has been transferred to Extra Time Office (ETO) after getting passed from Normal Time Office (NTO)! if everything goes fine then the Penalties will be called and they have to submit penalties and one of them will get visa for finals!
I hate penalty kicks

You'd only qualify if your occupation falls within skill type 0, or skill levels A or B of the 2011 edition of the Canadian National Occupational Classification (NOC), and you have a valid offer of arranged employment (which requires your employer to obtain a labor market opinion)

Hi FBI Agent ;), I think every applicant should first be taken on a field trip for fishing on a lake side. That way patience could be taught right upfront, and then this waiting game becomes easy!!!!!!! :) What do you say, buddy?

If one being a May 8th candidate starts worrying what does one suggest a May 1st or May 5th guy should do who hasn't yet heard? :)

Patience is the name of the game!!! Unless one is VERY confident that all their documents were in perfect state as asked by CIO, they should not worry about things taking a little longer. Any document if has a little variation it can take longer to process.

Ideally the best is to apply and then forget (although somewhat unrealistic), if it happens it is meant to happen else try another time. :)
Patience!!Thats the only choice available or else one will go nuts.

Dear all,

Regarding proof of funds, is it sufficient to do a printout of my online banking that shows savings account, current balance, bank name, date and my name as "Evidence of Savings Balance"?
That's what I did and it worked.

That said, your local VO may always ask for something more/different later.

FOR THOSE WHO ARE STILL STRUGGLING WITH EMPLOYMENT LETTERS

Employment Reference Letters:
CERTIFIED/NOTARIZED COPIES (Notarization optional)

IF YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO PROVIDE A REFERENCE FROM YOUR CURRENT EMPLOYER, PLEASE PROVIDE A WRITTEN EXPLANATION.

As a general rule, reference letters must be issued with a date, signed by a supervisory officer at the place of employment. They MUST be on original company's letterhead, showing the company's full address, contact details, and be stamped with the company's official seal.

Letters from your current and former (if any) employers describing your work experience are a very important part of your application. These letters should be detailed and must show the Canadian Immigration officer that you performed certain work activities for a specific duration in accordance with your skills and qualifications.
The letter(s) should clearly describe the duties and tasks of your particular position.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

• Letters that only indicate position, salary, and a statement that “he was a very good employee and we would hire him again” may not be sufficient! These letters are missing the important details of the applicant's performance while working with the company.

• Employment Reference letters must include the following:

-the specific period of your employment with the company;

-the position(s) you have held during the period of employment and the time spent in each position

-your main responsibilities in each position;

-if possible, your total annual salary

Elements of A Good Employment Letter :

A good job related reference letter gives many details. It lists the projects you worked on, and the achievements you accomplished. Very importantly, it should also describe your day-to-day duties and tasks. These daily tasks may seem mundane, but they often demonstrate that you perform the duties of a certain position, and that you possess the required basic skills. It is important that the letter demonstrates that you know the basic skills of your position, and that you have already been trained in them.

At a minimum, the letter should state your position, the length of your employment, salary, and a summary of your duties.

Having problems obtaining Employment Letters ?

• Sometimes people are reluctant to ask their employer for such letters, for fear that the employer will become suspicious of them. If this is the case, then you may ask colleagues

• Letters from colleagues must be notarized, and should state that he/she has worked with you, and witnessed you performing certain duties.

• In those cases where employment letters are not available, or where letters from colleagues are substituting, as many of the following additional documents should be provided to CIO office as possible:

• tax documents
• pay slips
• performance appraisals
• contracts,
• promotion letters or letters of appointment
• letters sometimes provided by employers for banking purposes, in which the letter confirms your position and salary; this kind of letter may be available from your Personnel/Human Resources Department.

Please note that these substitutes may be provided, even in the case that you are able to obtain a good employment letter as detailed above. Providing with such documents can help better demonstrate credibility of your employment history, which may facilitate your application, or the chance of an interview waiver.

Generally a reference letter is written as follows:

[Company Letter Head]

[Date]

To whom it may concern,

[Applicant] has been employed by [employer] from [start date] to [end date], in the position of [position or job title]. His/her monthly/annual salary was [salary]

In this position, he/she had the following duties and responsibilities:

[list of duties and responsibilities]

Additionally, [any additional information]

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you require any more information

Sincerely,

[Name of supervisor]
[Signature of supervisor]
[Business card of supervisor attached if possible]

The description, duties and responsibilities on the letter should closely resemble, but not be an exact copy of, those expected of an employee working in your NOC code.

If your company will not issue such a letter, you should take every step to obtain official documentation from the company listing your job duties and responsibilities. As well, these other alternatives may be used, however they may not always work. It is always better to obtain an original letter of reference directly from a supervisor or HR.

ALL THE BEST !! [/list]

Congrats for MR. Is your VO CPC-O ?Can you please enter your timeline on Spreadsheet 2014? It might not help you but it surely help others including me. It usually takes 2 weeks to 3 months to receive PPR from MR Received status on e-cas and RPRF acknowledged by CIC(Sometimes they don't acknowledge it). Depends there is no fix timeline for PPR.
Sure, I'll do it as soon as possible. Yess CPC-Ottawa. They asked me for police certificate and it takes one month for me to prepare, do you think this would affect the process?
