anybody pls help on this query regarding proof of settlement funds...

Hi Century and all other friends0..

I have a query related to proof of funds....

I am living in a house which is on my own name and I have a outstanding home loan running on this house.. which is relatively lesser (approx 1/3rd) of the actual market price of this house...

so can I show the valuation report of this house as a proof of funds with an affidavit that I will be liquidating this asset upon getting Visa and thus I can prove that I am having settlement funds of CAD 14600 for me and my spouse..

will CIC and visa officer consider it as proof of funds??

Or I need to have this funds in my bank account or in the form of Fixed Deposits only..

Can not I show the assets such as gold jewellery and car I own which I need to sell once I get the PR visa for canada..

pls help to solve this query

In that case ur house or jewelry/car will not be accepted...

For this case as u mentioned funds in my bank account or in the form of Fixed Deposits are the required best forms of showing POF....

OK, as I understood, If the approximate time for the application delivery is about 4-5 days and my birthday is on 10 of November, then I can send my ready application till 05 of November in order do not loose 1 point for Age, am I right?

I have a time deposit which is shared by me and my parent. Although the bank certificate will indicate that I am the owner of the fund. Will the shared ownership become a problem in the future?

*The bank is owned by a family friend of ours.

For peace of mind, liquidate it and convert it into Fixed deposit which will be owned by you 100%.

Better alternative. Give joint application to bank to transfer the whole ownership to your name.
