Hi Folks,

New to this forum and Canadian immigration in general. I am currently working in the US and have given up hope of any sort of immigration here. Do you still think i have time to get in the under the cap for FSW 2014? My NOC code would be 2281. I have already taken the eligibility test. I spoke to a lawyer who says i can still make it under the cap for this year, but looking at this thread i doubt this might be the case. Also i have a US masters degree, will i still need an ECA?

If my package till under review by CIO office (No CC NO PER yet) can I send a duplicate package to CIO office (same NOC) ? Because I want to include missing document and also another method pf payment (DD)

Is the duplicate package will harm my original package?

My take is that the May 7th 'monster' application batch has the CIO guys held up (i.e. slowed down) real bad. According to FSW 2014 PER issued data (which is a relatively thin sample) PERs for the pending May 1st to May 6th applications should have been sent by now. If PERs are not issued today / tomorrow then I would be very surprised. Of course May 7th PERs should only start after these earlier ones are out of the way, so May 7th PERs should take a while. All the best you May 1st to May 6th folks!! Hopefully you receive the magic PER e-mails today / tomorrow!


PS - By the speed CIO is currently going, I believe my earlier guess that they will begin May 8th applications by Wednesday / Thursday (i.e. Jul 10th) or so next week is going to fall flat. Don't think May 8th applications can begin at all next week. Infact if CIO continues at this rate there is a chance that they might not begin at all until the end of this month / July. Apology in advance to May 8th guys!!! Happy to be proven wrong though!!
