Hello guys,

I am about to file my application for FSW, however I have few questions. Your help/replies will be really appreciated.

- I have worked as assistant professor in my college (planning to apply for NOC 4011, University professors and lecturers), can I? Not sure. Check also with 4021 College and other vocational instructors; Try and test your luck.
- I was ad hoc assistant professor from 2010-2013, someone told me that it won't be considered as work experience, please advice? If it will be or not if it will be then for 3 yrs or less? As long as it is full time job, experience count.
- I am pregnant so should I disclose it now or during medical tests? Will it delay my visa or will i be kept for next years cap? how it works? Inform immediatly after delivery to your VO.

Optional; may be not require for duties but can be done for personal history. But I did in the following way:

If your job is part of your education, it wont like intership/apprenticeship.

But if it is full time paid work and it is continous for more than one year, it got to be acceptable without any confusion and doubt.

By ad-hoc, I understand, it is temporary. Temporary works count.

Do you have experience as a college lecturer or a university lecturer? Only university lecturers are accepted under that NOC.

Guys... When does ECAS status updates to "In Process".. Does that gets updated when DD has been encashed.? Or file has been reviewed..?

After charging and before final review.

See item no 21 of document checklist.

If the application is being returned, CIO will simply stick the lables onto the return envelop and save valuable time against it.

The lablels got to be written in English and in your official language. You can print the lables onto A4 paper, cut the paper into halves, each half will contain address.

You can put this lables at the end of your documents.

U mean to say we need to paste the both english language copy and native language (Nepali for me) copy in my application envelope? What is the rationale behind pasting two mailing labels on a single envelope? Sorry to bother you by repeated questions pal.

I see in CIC website that 1506 hours count as 1 year of work. In my present company I have worked for 10 months, but at 40 hours a week, I already have more than 2000 hours of work.

Will that be counted as a 1 year full time or less than a year?

And whats the vote for mode of payment CC or DD?

For Fixed deposit as POF - Get a FD statement and a letter issued from the bank covering the following details:
FD Account No.
Deposit Date
Maturity Date
Principal Amount
Maturity Amount

In the letter you could additionally get a CAD conversion of INR deposit amount mentioned.

100% - DD. Credit card mode of payment can cause issues (and possible rejection).

It is 30 hrs per week or actual whichever is higher.

Someone cannont claim 1 years of experience by working 60hrs a week for 6 months.
