Thanks for checking. The duties i put down are my attempt at matching the NOC requirement of 2171, without resorting to copy+paste. Do you think they match enough- or should i work further on them?

Hi, most likely you won't get a reply from the folks at HRDSC because the roles on their website are stated quite clearly. These are the roles for your review: Main duties of 2171,

The following is a summary of the main duties for some occupations in this unit group:

Information systems business analysts and consultants confer with clients to identify and document requirements, conduct business and technical studies, design, develop, integrate and implement information systems business solutions, and provide advice on information systems strategy, policy, management, security and service delivery.

Systems security analysts confer with clients to identify and document requirements, assess physical and technical security risks to data, software and hardware, and develop policies, procedures and contingency plans to minimize the effects of security breaches.

Information systems quality assurance analysts develop and implement policies and procedures throughout the software development life cycle to maximize the efficiency, effectiveness and overall quality of software products and information systems.

Systems auditors conduct independent third-party reviews to assess quality assurance practices, software products and information systems.

So what you should do is tailor your responsibilities to match (not copy and paste!) what is on the NOC list because the clerical staff reviewing your application are not subject matter experts. They are just required to ensure that what is stated on your reference letter matches the roles on the NOC list up to 80%. All the best with your application. :)

Hi,
In CIC instruction guide, it is written that we have to send application in 9' x 12' envelope but it seems to be too small for the complete application.

If anybody has already sent the application, can u tell me the size of envelope?

Also how to organize the bundle of these documents; 1) staple 2) use a single clip for whole file or 3) use multiple paper clips?

Can anybody guide me.........

This time the call got thru, but they said no updates before 10 weeks....

No UCI no, nothin before 10 weeks.

It was a lady after 15 minutes of wait....

Regarding the 3 month time.I have not sent my usa pcc when I mailed to cio. I am waiting for fingerprint after which I will apply to fbi.now suppose my usa pcc comes to me in mid august which means they have to receive it before mid november. My question is do I wait for cic/vo to ask me to send it?what if they take more than november to ask me? Is there any way I can mail it to cic/vo as soon as I receive it?can we contact with any case officer?

I just want to correct one misunderstanding: The 4 complete applications are not "current", the number represents the 5th of May or 6th of May applications at best.

As for the answer of your 1st & 2nd questions: It will not likely get filled anytime soon SO send your application now and relax and wait hopefully afterwards.

Thank you for your reply. I will aim to send in application asap. Can anyone comment on how long the entire process from application to grant or decision would take?

Also how to organize the bundle of these documents; 1) staple 2) use a single clip for whole file or 3) use multiple paper clips? Stapling is out, no staples. Best to go with one giant clip for all. Instructions are to leave the papers unbound. Just arrange them in the order of the Document checklist

Can anybody guide me.........
Hi, see my responses above. All the best :)

----- Adding Details to Spreadsheet -----

Hello All...

I would like to congratulate all the members getting their CC/DD Charges and receiving PERs

I just want to encourage everyone to add their details to the spreadsheet. It greatly helps the rest of us who are waiting and praying !! It also helps the admins to generate awesome stats which are way better than anything you can get from CIC.

First time entry ? Lost the link to edit or don't know how to edit ?? Go ahead and add your details again

Just follow the simple steps below:

1) -- Open the URL for the Entry form -- https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1Wl4oS7u4P1oek09X6ZUO6hHK-9jE3TNIAwgHSWMowAA/viewform
2) -- Fill out your information --
Use exact forum username (refill if you do not know how to edit, the old entry is taken care of by a magical script the admins wrote)
3) -- Hit Submit - and voila .. your information is in the spreadsheet
4) -- Important Make sure to bookmark/save the Edit Your Response Link -- you get on this page. Later when you want to update, you simply come to this link and edit it and the information is updated in the sheet.

Any idea applicants registered in excel sheet comprise what percent of the actual applicants?

If you look at the page in the spreadsheet that says applications by NOC, there are projections for each NOC regarding the worldwide number of applicants based on 2013 data.

There is a question in Background declaration form
Q8, Personal History
List all addresses for the past 10 years, here there is a column which says Status in country, what should I write here next to my address in UK. I had a valid 2 year Work and Holiday Visa where I could work for 1 year and Holiday for 1 year

When in UK, I have worked for 1 full year under the 2 year Work and Holiday Visa, and yes I would be claiming points for this experience as it was a full time continuous work.

Under supplementary travels I have mentioned this tenure as Work and Holiday under Purpose of travel

Hi.
I would urge you to look up the conditions of working holiday visa. As per my understanding it categorically said that you could only take up part time jobs to fund your holiday and NOT FULL TIME.
