Congratulations on your DD encashment. It is a good sign.

One query - I am assuming that you are from India and would have gotten your DD from an Indian Bank. Did you call the bank to know that DD has been encashed? I got my DD from HDFC Bank and they told me that there is no way I can come to know when DD would be encashed.

Yes I am from india. Mine is HDFC bank DD( The Bank of Nova Scotia). I ask them to track the details. They checked and inform me my dd encashed on 6/6/14. I have last year UCI. I checked with that uci and found that application received for pr on 5/5/14

i tried to check status online using older UCI..but it says "We were not able to identify you using the information you provided".
I tried contacting CIC call center they said mail us after 10 weeks... feeling lost..

I did a wrong in my application,

I have added IEB membership in Background/Declaration form,

From date is wrong, which should be 2009 instead of 2008 as Associate Member

Is there any great impact?

Actually, I didnt get the proper information at that time and I dont have the ID only know my membership number

N.B: both date are after my passing year.

Please suggest what to do.. ??? ???

Binuky, the official description of the ecas status "application received" is that your application has gone through the completeness check and your file has been assigned a number. The next update "eligibility check complete" will show after they furnish you with the PER. Check your email accounts and relax. I guess you are safe dear!

It is uncertain, how CIC officer will calculate points.I guess no one can tell.
But if you substitute any missing document with an Affidavit and sufficient supporting documents,
they will not reject your case.

Thanks for your reply dear.. can you pls reply question 2 and 3 considering that any other proof of employment is not valid..? i mean i will certainly submit employment letter, affidavit, salary slip etc.. but because of uncertainty associated with these things, i would not assume getting points for that. And then if i still score above 67 points, how do CIC consider it??

In case they do not consider my current employment experience, it will mean that i worked for 5.5 yrs but i am unemployed for last 2.5 yrs..! In that case, do they give PER even if i score 67 points..?

Need some more clarification on proof of relative, can i submit the below document.

1) My Cousin's Photo copy of her Citizenship Card/Passport
2) My cousin's latest telephone bill
3) My Dad's PAN Card copy confirming my Grandfather's Name
4) My aunt's Passport Copy confirming my grandfather's name

Hey, I don't think you can claim points for a cousin. It is not in the list of eligible relatives in CIC's guidelines.

Guys first off I apologize for not putting my details in the spread-sheet, but having had my package returned in 2 previous years I was a bit superstitious. Please accept my apology, no bad intentions here!

Just having read brother mk's tough news I too like Century was hyper-tensed especially because I am also a May 7th file received applicant for NOC 0111. The reason for my worry was also the fact that I did not have reference letter on company letter head, although I provided a letter by my manager on plain A4 paper and my manager's business card. I also included my company's offer letter from the time of joining, my pay stubs for 3 months and my form 16 for 2 years, issued by my company.

Please note that my payment was made by DD. Just now, although being very nervous (since hearing brother mk's news), I decided to check the ECAS status and it shows IN PROCESS. Additionally I have asked my bank to check the status of the DD, which I shall know by the end of the week.

Does the IN PROCESS status mean my payment must be charged, and I should await the PER e-mail? I am so very tensed as last week after checking with several members here I had again couriered a cover letter (which reached CIC yesterday, received by Mike) that explains why I could not send a reference letter on company letter head.

Damn this is a quite a moment!!! Thanks brother ashif, Century, Partner Shah (Oscar Shah LLP waley ), neel, future_canadian, kollins and all other friends who have helped one another. Special thanks again goes to ashif and Century for the selfless help they provide here. Time for some beer instead of lunch today...LOL!!!!!

So, we have ONE APPLICANT who had not submitted job experience letter on Company Letter head, although instead of using self afidavit he has used letter (on plain paper) signed by the manager along with manager's contact details. Some hope for those who could not obtain experience letter on Company Letter Head.
