Nishesh, I concur with Namaste.

I would say, go as per he said.

The declaration under the form, where you sign and date, shall be the date to be counted towards (calculating the past 10 years of experience).

Anyhow, if they look too closely, they will anyhow see your 4 years, and award you the deserving points.

So if i sign the app as July 16th and they are received on July 11th or 12th by CIC - what happens then ? :-[

Where was it mentioned?..Booz I couldn't find it in my covering letter mailed by cic

It should be in the application forms you sent last year, written on the top possibly. But, if you can't find it, it's not mandatory to mention it.

He meant sign ON 16th July, not just write 16th July as of today.

Don't let that happen, because you would be blank face lying in the forms. You can only do so if they receive the application AFTER July 16.

Your entry in Canada will be captured in the supplementary travel form, not here. Accept the gray and please move on. This is how the form is for everyone.

Thanks bro :)

But if your total is coming out to be more than 4 years, why do you worry ? Send it today, even with <1 yr box checked. What's the hassle ?

Check (and enter your information) in the spreadsheet. Right now, applications from May 7 are being processed. So it will be a while before CIC gets to 16th May.

As i said - is there a chance they see just the abstract figures (3 years less than 4 + less than 1 year) and summarize it as less than 4 years ?

I know I sound outright ridiculous but I am trying to cover all 'ridiculous' from my application perspective.

You don't want to be in a country whose officials can't calculate correct dates, ain't it ?

So, relax brother.

Best wishes from my side

Just fill the form and sign 22nd June or whatever date you send it. If it's not one whole year it's not the end of the world....and I am sure you are already making 67 points so no point crying over it. Please move on and request to refrain from writing 10 posts just on this topic. Shouldn't we all please respect other's opinion and time? Thank you! :)

PS - Do not try to falsify anything, including date especially for such a minor thing anyway. Good luck!

I think the whole issue is that the OP NEEDs points for 4 years to qualify. Although I am not sure. It would be ridiculous to fuss about it if it's not so.
