Will it be ok as a proof of fund

Bank certificates are a valid form of proof towards settlement fund. So I don't see any problem with that.

Dear friends,

I have a question regarding the visa office. In the guide it says the following:

"Immigration Office requested for the processing of your application

Indicate the name of the Immigration Office which serves:

your country of nationality, or
the country in which you are residing, provided that you have been lawfully admitted to that country for at least one (1) year."

I understand that I have to select in this specific question the visa office in my country (I live in Brazil). However, should I send all the documents to this visa office or to CIO in Canada? What exactly will the Visa office in Brazil do for me? Do I have to contact them or something?

You need to select Brazil in the question, as you rightly said. And your FSWP application package will go to CIO at Sydney, NS, Canada. If you get positive eligibility at CIO then the package will be sent by CIO guys to Visa Office in Brazil for further processing. The Brazil visa office will contact you at that point to take your case ahead (they will let you know what they need at that point); you don't need to worry about contacting them now. Hope that clarifies!

Bank certificate can very well be 'To whom it may concern' as far as I know.

I am unaware of any special address they have to be addressed. Very odd it would be, if that is the case.

Hi All,

Had a doubt regarding my bank funds.

I had funds from my salary credits to citibank. Citibank gave me Bank certificate with balance in account

Now I am thinking to shift my funds to SBI (new opened account) and get a Fixed deposit done. SBI manager is telling they cant give Bank certificate with balance in account, however the same can be printed on Passbook with Fixed deposit details..

I am thinking to go for SBI because of better interest rates.

Would it be okay to show SBI passbook copies with FD details and Fixed deposit copy as fund proofs ???

either step would be fine, but I advice you let the funds remain in your original account and make an fd out of it. Since its your salary account your credit history will be good and thats the kind of assurance the cic needs that you dont have any prob with money.

Contrary to your thoughts, I love India. I know it's not a perfect place to live. But, no country is. India is a land full of chaos and I love it because of that. Anyway, I am not here to show my patriotism.

There are absolutely no plans of settling down in Canada. My parents would never shift there and I want to be with them in the later half of their lives. Not because they would me, but because I would need them for support.

My only concern and target is money. That's all I want from Canada. So I am ready to slog for 4/5 years and then head back. That's the reason why I am confused whether Dubai would give me an equal opportunity.

I am living in canada from 5 years and got citizenship. Once you will land here you are never going to return to India. Thier is no comparison of life for middle class people's between india and canada.
