Hi,
My documents where received 5/20/14 via courier by CIO, will CIO automatically reject my application if i did not write the VO that will process my application even though in the Generic Application it is stated there that my citizenship and current residence is the same and all documents are signed and complete? Thanks

Try doing it on a friend's computer.

Try to directly open it in Acrobat reader using open file and give URL in dialogue window...

6. Depends on your local VO

7.Did not understand your query

Thanks

6) My local VO will be Sydney so don't know how long they are currently taking.
7) Once I get PR granted. I'll have to visit Canada before the grant expires. Another member mentioned it was a year from grant. So I suppose I've that much time. Or is it a year from Medicals/PCC??

Couple more questions, please:
8. Does it matter if I already have a PR from another country?
9. Is it OK if I don't include my current work for the points? I don't want my employer to find out from the verification call? I do have relevant experience from before and still working in relevant job.

For purely this reason only, NO.

Hi Mates, have small issue, need clarification

As proof of funds I have disclosed CAD 30,000 for two people includes (CAD 15000 other funds + CAD 15000 as PF). (CIC requirement of CAD 15,000)

it includes Provident fund. But now I have withdrew my PF and deposited in my bank account.

If I exclude my PF from above proof of funds, I will still have CAD 15,000.

Question :- If in background check they don't find my PF account because that will be closed by now. Will it have any negative impact on my application. Or they will consider my other other part of CAD 15,000 as proof of funds)

Regards

Without going into any speculation, when your file moves into VO, communicate them about your current change status.

they are refusing "to whom so ever it may concern".
they want specific name or department along with the address.

How do you know that they are rejecting To whom it may concern. I don't think anyone in this group got a rejection as of now ...
I have provided employment proof letter as To whom it may concern only

Lucky guy ! 2-2 PR same time....

Sydney VO takes little longer time than NDVO , you can refer timelines on CIC websites (though not current) , but relevant
Landing date is usually 1 year or less from the date of medicals or PCC (whichever is earliest) , still the last decision always in the hands of case officer.
It does not matter , if you have PR from another country , you can apply as many countries as you can pay them for fees and you serve the eligibility criteria for that country , but later on when you go for citizenship stay requirement will matter.
It depends upon you, VO might ask you for your current job usually they don't , Once you get Yes from CIO , VO's task is to verify the authentication of documents that you provided.(if your docs belongs to country other than you staying , it might takes more time for background verification checks).

Hope i answers all your questions.....

Hi Anil,

pasting my previous post on PCC. Hope it helps.

Trying to answer few questions that I have seen people asking about PCC in India

1. Where to Apply?

Apply for PCC at a near by PSK (Passport Seva Kendra). You need to fill the application online on passportindia portal and then take a print out of the application (don't need appointment for this) and reach the PSK at 8.30 am in the morning. You can walk in for PCC.

2. When will I get ?

If your passport was issued within the last year and if your address in passport is same as your residential address and if police verification was done at the time of issuing the passport (either before issuing or after issuing) you will get the PCC immediately (mostly in 2 or 3 hours and definitely within the same day)

3. What If am not residing at the address in my passport ?

If no Police Verification was done prior to this application on this address (regardless of the state you live in), PSK will initiate a Police verification request with your zone's police commissioner office and generally it will be done in 3 weeks time (at least in Chennai and Hyderabad). Someone from the Police Station would visit your house and ask for certain proof for residence like Voter Id, Bank Statement, Gas Connection receipts etc.. I have seen this generally varies from city to city. In Chennai they asked for all the documents that I listed above whereas in Hyd they just asked for Voter Id Card / Aadhar Card.

In this case, post this step, police will send a Clear report to PSK and after this, PSK will send a mail / SMS to you and will ask you to collect the PCC. you can then visit them with a copy of the acknowledgement which you got on the day of application and get the PCC.

4. How much does it cost.
INR 500 at the PSK

5. Can I use PCC taken for different country?
No. For every country you need to get a PCC separately. It is a letter that states that Government does not have any issues with you applying for that specific country for immigration.

A friend of mine from 2011 used the job description as stated in his company database and attached all employment documents to support his case.
He is now in Canada.
That is why I did the same but now I am so worried.
I got letter from company stating hrs worked and roles but no JD.I got JD from database and explained why via cover letter.
I just pray I scale through.
All other documents are intact.

bro..not to sound pessimistic...but Duties & responsibilities are the most imp thing...
Number of hr worked/week is not very imp for subcontinent applicatns since they r paid on monthly basis.
usually western countries pay by hourly basis and are on temporary jobs...

hence responsibilities are must , salary and working hrs can be offset by payslips and stating full time employee

............ Regarding working hours in the reference letter.......

I have reference letter from HR on letter head but it is not mentioned my working hours per week or month. However on my salary slips it is mentioned that i am full time employee.
However, there is online portal where we mark our weekly timesheet, it is mentioned on that portal that i work 41.25 hours per day. Can i take the snapshot of that portal and hoghlight the no. of hours and attach it to my application OR my salary slips will be enough where it is mentioned that i work for full time OR is there no need to mention no. of hours worked ?
Please reply !

but if you can give a screeshot ...it would be good...add as much info as u can....reinforces your applicaation

If you are living outside of India, Then visit Indian Embassy in the country you are residing.
They will issue you PCC. I got mine in a similar way.
