Dear Seniors and experts,

The HR of my company is not ready to issue letter for job responsibilities. I have asked my superior to do it. He agreed, however he is worried to do it on letter head since in case the authorities verify with Company HR he will be in trouble.

Is the worry genuine? Is there a verification with HR or with Colleague who is issuing the letter? This is very important since the letter of job responsibilities is one of the most important thing.

U can check :

"Reference letters in the required format are necessary, please try your best to get them. If after all efforts you are unable to obtain a work reference letter, then you should provide a solemn declaration / affidavit explaining in detail why are you unable to do so. The officers at the VO are aware of the fact that different employers have different policies towards issuing such adhoc letters and may not cooperate in issuing such a letter. Please do attach all your employment records with the declaration. I was unable to obtain a work reference letter from one of my employers and did the same. However please bear in mind that the final decision rests with the visa officer handling your case."

Hi everyone,

I have couple of questions:
1. I have relatives in Canada and I want that my docs will sent to them in case of any problems, because it is much faster, what should I do?
2. My son has a mistake in his travel documents (the sex is F), but at the same time he has a valid Canadian visitor's visa in it. So, do I need to explain this situation to CIC, do nothing or not to mention his travel passport in the form.
3. I have a feeling that paying with the CC may be not a good idea, and I asked my father-in-law to make a money order for me. Is this a good idea? Can I make one money order for all members of the family?

I have a question:

My friend has 8 months of paid internship, and now he is working in same company from past 5 months. Can he apply under FSW?
The reason I am asking this is because under minimum requirement on this page "http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who.asp" says that

Your work experience must be:
•at least one year (1560 hours), full-time or an equal amount in part-time,
•paid work (volunteer work, unpaid internships, etc. do not count),
•in the same occupation, and
•within the last 10 years,
•at skill type 0, or skill levels A or B of the 2011 edition of the Canadian National Occupational Classification (NOC)

So Indirectly does it mean that Paid internship can be taken into consideration ??

In this case the Applicant is B.Sc(IT), so only copies of his degree details and marksheets suffice. correct me if i am wrong...

Clear, legible photocopies of all final or provisional degree certificates issued by the institutions attended
e.g. Bachelor, Master, Master of Philosophy, Postgraduate Diploma

Today I mailed my Application for FSW2014 for NOC 2133 category, FedEx has given a delivery date for my documents to be May 6th. I hope I can make it in the 500 Quota for this NOC.

It's unlikely the fees change.......but just wait till 1st may to raise the draft.....you won't spend 2 hours doing it.

AND IF THEY REQUIRE NEW ONES WE CAN

If these are for last year then there is no value add in sending.. Both of your PCC are more than 4 months old.. Acceptable PCC should be 3 months old only.. So in any case you will have to get new PCC..

Hi guys!
I have a few questions.
1.I currently live in New York and my hometown is India. My H1B expires in November 2014 and I will be applying for an extension eventually but should i choose the visa office as Newdelhi or newyork? what is the role of the visa office in the process? Will I be required to go the visa office any time soon?
2. With regard to the Police clearance, is it better to get it in NewYork through the consulate or should I ask my parents to get it in India?
3. Also, I have an one experience letter from my previous employer, stating my title as senior programmer Analyst but does not mention my duties. Apart from the duties I have all the information with regard to my title, salary,etc. Can I just attach a cover letter along with this? Will this suffice?
4. I have another bonafide letter stating I was previously an employee of the company with my start date, salary etc but does not state my end date and duties.But do not have an experience letter from them..

I am also based out of New Jersey. For us, visa office will be CPP Ottawa and NOT New York. New York visa office is closed.
I obtained my police clearance from Indian consulate in New york. its on 63rd street near central park. I will PM you my mobile number if you want to get in touch.
