Hi Seniors,

When we can expect cap update from CIC!!

Do they do that in regular interval or on random basis?

I am very much tensed:(

Do you have the acknowledgement (copy) of registry receipt from the post office ?

If yes, you can track with Consignment No. on the India Post site.

http://www.indiapost.gov.in/

Its no guarantee that timely/ accurate/ any info will be available on their site/ tracking system.... after all yeh sarkaari deptt hai .. waiting to be "Modi"-fied (kyunki abki baar Modi sarkaar !) :P

I posted this once....U can check it now:

Just want to share about the PCC:

ur PCC submission validity is Three months. So when u want to submit ur PCC u should consider the date is not over three month from the issuing day.

Though PCC validity is One year but submission validity is Three months

Thanks for pitching in, mate!
LMAOROTF ;D :P 8)
I am thinking the name for the consultancy can be Oscar Shah LLP (Limited Liability Partnership) with offices in Canada, Pakistan and India for now. I am open to a suitable experienced member from Bangladesh to open an office there too, to be able to cater to the high demand from the sub-continent LOL

See now we are already inviting an offer here..no need to worry about finding a job when we land there...our destiny has been written to offer employment to the needy LMAO ;)

Note - Please treat the above on humor value ONLY.

I respectfully disagree; my ex-colleagues have gone to Canada with Abhinav's help. Using a consultant is for guidance purpose (as I mention at the risk of repeating myself); a consultant is not mandatory at all. Plus using a consultant does NOT mean that one falls asleep and not check what is being filled/ applied for in the forms. Finally before sending the package everything should be checked by self and by a pair of fresh eyes as well. Sanity check is basic, can't teach that at this age LOL. :D I agree some small consultants don't even have a representative that is recognized by the Canadian Immigration authorities and so they don't fill up the 'Use Of Immigration Representative' form. One should stay clear of such mom and pop shops. This forum is definitely helpful but for a lot of people spending INR 60K once in a lifetime for something like immigration might not really be a big deal is what comes to mind. Plus the guidance helps to supplement the lack of confidence/ lack of knowledge of the process for a lot of people. Not everyone is alike, if you know what I mean mate. Thanks!

I had filed my application thru a consultant last year and it was returned back due to cap reached. The consultant didnt even know if quota has been filled up for 2174 or not and was telling me all the while that they would go bay cap updated on the cic website. As per CIC website, 2174 quota filled up by 22nd Aug'13 whereas in reality it got filled up by May'13 end itself. Unfortunately I discovered this forum quite late and then told my consultant about it and they showed as if they were completely ignorant about existence of such forum. Also they asked me to get the resume, visa copies of all international travels for me & my family, work experience of spouse which was not required at all. So it's much better to file application all by yourself. I agree that there are some finer aspects for which you may need consultants. But with help from forum, one can definitely file application independently.

LOL, do you want your Corona beer or not (provided you really win though)? ;D ;D :P :D :D

Fall in line, and promote your friend's business....for heaven's sake! Of course we will get recognition from Canadian Immigration Association, mate!

I am working on a pricing model....pricing will vary by country..and will be a step based installment payment option
For Canada it will cost CAD 7000 overall...installment will be like CAD 1500 upfront...then next 1500 due on application submission..next due when PER received etc etc (details to follow)
For cost in India please contact Partner Oscar7 (myself)
For cost in Pakistan please contact Partner Shah2014

Special schemes for earlier candidates from this forum who applied in FSW 2014 because you were once buddies of the Partners LOL (proof to be provided though) ;)

LMAO :P
