You can apply online by registering on Passport seva website... Fill all the details, pay the fees online, its about 500.0 INR, take an apointment date to your nearest PSK and visit there on the appointment date along with your original passport and printout of the registration and fee paid form..

If your passport is not more than one year old then you can get the PCC on the same day, but if its older then you have to wait for 10-15 dayz, depending on how quickly the Police station visits you and send the verification report to the Passport Seva Kendar..

It will be processed in 1 or 2 weeks.. No this will not be the case.. only just DD takes more time to be known to you that when it is encashed..

Not a good idea to staple even these; clearly says in the guide to not staple anywhere. There is no chance of mixing if clipped and sent. After that CIO guys know how to handle document properly. They might though start getting pissed taking out staple pins every time let's say they have to scan these documents. Just a random thought there! Never do what you are 'specifically' told not to do in such official documents is my take.

Most of the first week of May DD should have been charged and got the PER but we don't see much updates on the spreadsheet.

Please guys UPDATE YOUR SPREADSHEET DETAILS.....

First of all congratulations.. you may give an update to local VO when your file reaches after you babies are born.. with there passports and updated proof of funds for 4 family members.. It eill take time.. don't worry.. you will get enough time to update it to local VO..

go to passport india website register and apply through online.


you will get it on the same day it cost 500 Rs. Suppose If your passport issued from Delhi apply from the nearest PSK to that RPO( Regional Passport Office), otherwise process may delay.

As i can see lot of posts regarding the status of application, I am wondering how to get it for mine,
I applied through an agency and they are not providing any information regarding my application, they told me ..they will let me know once i received my file no. or rejection letter. Is there any other way to find out the status as i dont have any details of my application,

Hiring an agency is not necessary ,but you definitely can. (I made that mistake once last year)

We start tracking with the Waybill number from the courier service.

once delivered the next steps are CC/DD charged (get a Text message or ask the bank)

next check your mail box for PER or rejection letter

You probably would not have access to any of these info (courier tracking,DD no or your representative mail id)

Anyways Goodluck .And like the rest of us here Happy WAITING
