Mates! Thanks a lot for the clarifications being offered. Last year, got messed up with the consultant's advice. This time, I managed to send my app for noc 1112 on 03rd June 2014, received by Mike on 05th June 2014.

Hope! I am on time and will be able to make it within the limit.

Queries regarding Police Clearance Certificate :

I did my schooling (10+2) from India some 15 years ago. Was in Dubai for work some 7.5 years ago and stayed there for 4 years. While applying last year to CIC, i got PCC from Indian Embassy in my country (There is no validity date on PCC). Similarly i got PCC from Dubai (had 3 month validity date on PCC) and sent both to CIC. I have not traveled or stayed in these countries after getting PCC. My application package was returned due to cap filled. I am in great confusion now.

1) Shall i send my application package with old PCC or without PCC and submit it later when VO asks for it?
2) Do i have to get new PCC ? please note that i have not traveled to these places after getting PCC.
3) How will it matter to my application if i dont include PCC now alongwith my application ?

Anyone has an idea when did the hot NOCs were filled last year? I am finally sending my application this week for NOC 2171 and need some positive thoughts Hope I don't lag behind

1. Your consultant is wrong. If you have a UCI you should enter it. Actually it doesn't matter because CIC will find it from your name and date of birth. Your UCI is the same for life.

2. If it's greyed out and you can't type anything in there you don't need to fill it in.

On the latter question >> I think I vaguely remember this question. And if I recall correct this is only applicable for those who are in Canada (previous question asks that, and if you selected 'in Canada' there then this is not grayed out for you). Although I am not in Canada I had visited the country back in the day and wanted to fill in the information but realized I didn't need to as per the logic of this form. Hope that helps!

WES report :
received on 9 june 2014

Service Level: WES Basic

now the WES website has the following info :


Citizenship and Immigration Canada requires that, duplicate reports for FSWP include:

An educational credential assessment paper report to submit to CIC
An electronic copy of your report viewable by CIC
Your WES ECA report is valid for five years for CIC purposes.

Would the WES Basic evaluation report be sufficient or do i get the new Electronic copy of report viewable by CIC ?

Would you like to share the reasons, for not being able to send the application in first 1-2 weeks of May? The reason i am asking here is that general perception is that all those who could not make it to FSW 13, have sent the application in that period, which would have resulted in significantly high # of apps during first 2 weeks. However, from the forum i can easily say that many of the FSW 13 applicants sent the application after 2nd week of May.

1. You can send application without a PCC, not mandatory to send PCC along with application. What is rather important is that application reaches CIO before it gets too late.
2. Yes, you need new PCCs whether or not you travelled or whether or not validity time is on PCC. PCC issue date tells CIO when it was issued.
3. It does not matter considering it is already 09 June, I'd suggest don't wait for PCC send the application and start working on getting the PCC post that.

1.No...don't send with OLD PCC...you need NEW PCC more updated than the former.You can send your application package without PCC now and submit later when V.O asks.
2.Yes..new one is needed.
3.No effect negatively other than you will be requested to submit later.

Don't worry, this year there are many 217X NOC, your application will be in the cap. Just double check if all the info is complete & correct to avoid any surprises/regrets after sending.

NOC 1112 was the first to fill, it was filled on 27th May 2013. On this day only a few lucky ones from this NOC got through and the rest were informed of the cap being filled.
Our positive thoughts are with everyone here....although the fact remains these prayers/ thoughts might not change destiny if one is late. So just hurry up and send. I am sure you'll be fine. Good luck!
