No it will not but if you join new Job then in that case you need to updated to VO else not required to do anything.

It took only 2 working days to get the passport back to VFS bangalore

Congrats bro.
There is one other case similar to you in this forum, that person is in Germany . I think her had enquired to few offices and the last option was to come back to India and send the passport to NDVO beacuse you cannot send your passport from UK.

But is it a option if my wife carries my passport to India with an authorization letter. and Then submit it in India?

Ohh OK, if that is the case then tell them whatever is Genuine, if you are in Notice Period then mention it same.
If you are not working mention it same... Mention Time frame from to Date ...not working ...
