My status is showing In Progress after I received PER, so I am assuming, that You got your PER (maybe it is in your junk or maybe CIC forgot to send it to you)mynameispepe said:Hi guys.
I'm an October 14th applicant under NOC 2172, my CC was charged on December 18th. I had an UCI from previous travels to Canada and as of this morning my application is showing up on the ECAs webpage as "In Progress". I haven't received PER mail yet, is this a good sign?
Thanks

rvp_deltario said:Hi pr4vj,
Congrats.
Why because you have been intimated and asked to submit valid POF, thus getting a chance to correct the issue.
This is how I went about. (All docs excluding (2) notarised)
1) Showed my and my wife's existing ePF statement (You can get it online if you google the epfo site).
2) FD with 6 month's validity. (Original FD letter)
3) Bank statement for last 3 month's showing the current balance.
Pretty simple and 2-3 day effort to get all the docs sorted.
** If you choose bank statement's make sure you do not have ECS and other periodic deductions. If you do, better to avoid it.
All the best.
The above will suffice.
Cheers

Did they accept your ePF? Did you get PPR?
Was your ePF was part of full POF amount or excess to your bank balance?

+1 to you for ur views dear bro...rvp_deltario said:Hi Calgary14,
This one is pretty close to me too and keeps me up all night, here are my views. They may all not be accurate and I would love to read some senior and experienced forumites views on this also.
I agree, Canadian recognised certifications help in getting jobs.
1) Is you NOC, regulated or non regulated? Basis that chose the certifications you need. Eg. For Investment exposed finance professionals, it's imperative that they do a course such as Canadian Securities Couse as this area is regulated and without this certification you cant practise.
2) Non regulated roles like a Manager in Transition or Projects will enhance his profile with a PMP certification.
I also feel that Canadian Recognised certifications are a must for a Public Sector Job and if you are trying the Private sector for a non regulated NOC and you have the experience and can sell yourself at the interview table, you will crack it.
A friend of mine over there told me that Degree's only help you open the institutions door and let you in. Weather you get the job is dependent of how much did you manage to sell yourself in the interview.
I would love to hear views from the experienced Canadian residents and immigrants on this.
