Hi All,

Great to be part of this community and have a question.

I have earlier submitted an app for 2171 October end. Because 2171 reached cap in Nov, I have sent another application for NOC 2172 and it reached CIC on 12/19.

Will CIC void my 2172 app as I have submitted 2 applications.

Please advise. Thanks in advance!

Sent addendum reference letters - 24 th october
Receivedreply from cic on 15 th december to my mail of 24th oct- docs will be attached to my initial application

The key points of my app -
1. Followed document checklist thoroughly.
2. Sent photocopies of reference letters,marksheets,degrees,didnt notarize anything
3. sent affidavit for birth certificate since my 10th marksheet didnt hv my parents name. Made self affidavit as well as from parents
4. My reference letters had a typo of wrong year mentioned in it, to correct this, i sent addendum documents
5. My credit card was told by bank that it wl b replaced with new chip card, but i convinced them to delay this till i get charged by cic, after lots of convincing they finally agreed.
6. I didnt send any letter of employment for a job which was different from my noc since i didnt want points for it.

You all have played a very important role in this and helped me all the way...

App date Sep 15, NOC 1114, CC Charged Nov 27. No PER
Nw i ve heard CIC is on holidays from Dec 19 to Jan 03 .. Does that mean i ll have to wait another 12-13 days for my PER ... really sad to hear this ..

My friend .. Not all of them are on leave .. Let's us be practical as well.. Everyone loves to be with their families during this holiday season ... They have been doing a great job and probably need this break just like us.

By the way not from 19. They may be from 24th or so but few will be working to clear the backlog. Do not be sad but happy during this holidays season.

I waited for 118 days before i received my PER and one of my friends waited for 152 days ..

Stay positive and happy. Enjoy the holidays. You will receive it soon..

Medical done on December 10th ( panel Physician had E medical enabled)
I confirmed with Physician's office that my medical results were uploaded to CIC on December 17th,
3rd line added to ECAS on December 19th :We have received medical results

But I think they will take more times for applicants who didn't submit their PCC with main applications and the time is also is depending on How many PCC's , you should submit and from which countries

Hello,

Quick questions regarding employer reference letters. I applied in category 0111 in November.

1, Does CIC contact the employers to validate the letter of reference or the VO does it? VO
2, Do they always contact the employer or only sometimes? As per the guidelines, they should always but it is left to the discretion of Visa officer assigned to your case
3, What happens if they cannot reach the company/boss? (company went bankrupt, no longer exists - so noone will answer the phone/email) If they really want to validate and no mode of communication is available. Then the officer may ask for an interview with the supporting documents. again VO's discretion
4, Should we send an additional letter to CIC explaining the situation? We mentioned this bankruptcy issue in the application, but only gave the central contact information for the company. Shall we write now and give them the private phone number of my ex-boss? Or shall we wait for PER and send an update to VO?Not sure about this one

Avg Process Time from MR to Passport Request for NDVO as per Spreadsheet is 68 days.

But then NDVO works in mysterious ways .. One more thing to keep in mind is that NDVO receives the highest number of applications compared to any other VO in the world.
