Hello again..I am working now as a software engineer for a software firm. But i was also hired by an educational organization to build a website for them and worked with them for 1-2 months. Will CIC have a problem with that i mean right now i am working with a software firm (which is OK) and before that i worked with an educational firm (Build a website for them and done its enhancement and all).
2. I worked with this educational firm in NOV 2012 but it was registered in FEB 2013. Will that be a problem ?

1. You can get points for your experience in any NOC so long as it is at skill type 0 or skill level A or B. You only need a minimum of one year of continuous full time experience in the primary NOC under which you are applying. The type of company you work for isn't relevant, your duties matching the NOC are what is relevant. So if you did work that fits under the same NOC for an educational firm, a software firm, a hospital and a factory that makes clown shoes, it all counts as that NOC all the same.

2. I don't think it's a problem as there is no requirement that an organization be any particular type or even necessarily registered, so long as it is a legitimate business and you were doing legitimate work for that organization. If you can get an employer reference letter from them, you should be good to go. If you can't, it might be a bit tougher because not being registered I am guessing there were not a lot of formal documents generated, so provide whatever proof you can and explain the situation thoroughly.

Can i ask for advise regarding working experience? is it enough as a proof if i Have a reference letter showing my duties, salary and duration? I mean i don't have any copy of contract, pay slip, certificate of employment or any other proof, I only have this one letter. .

Was the letter written fairly recently, on company letterhead? That's really all you need.

I have already asked this question before in a separate thread but unfortunately received no satisfactory response.

Question -

I am a bachelor (also have no Kids and was never married before), am Not a Minor and am not using a representative to file my application, therefore there are certain forms that do not apply to me. I need to know how to deal with these forms - whether to fill them up stating 'N/A' in every box or just not include them at all in my final application package during submission via mail to the CIO ?

The forms I am referring to are the following:

IMM 0008DEP - Additional Dependents/Declaration
IMM 5409 - Statutory Declaration Of Common-law Union
IMM 5604 - Separation Declaration Of Minors Travelling to Canada
IMM 5476 - Use Of A Representative

Can someone please help me out here ?

Just want to share my situation here.

I missed native language columns in my application which was received on 20th may 2014 by JEFF. I followed Instruction guide IMM7000, they did not mentioned to write names in native language for Additional family information (IMM5406E). so I missed those. Also missed in IMM5669E SchduleA form to write my name in native language.

I have sent first page of IMM5669E SchduleA background/declaration form and IMM5406E Additional information forms written names in native language along with covering letter by explaining why I missed. Today it received by DOUG.

Not sure if they include my corrected forms (sent second time) with my application package.

I have another query... i m geeting married soon nd i ll apply for my spouse also...i requested her to be prepare wd documents..but in education documents my spouse has her frst name nd middle name but in passport nd other cetrificates she has his surname also...if we opt to change name in educational ducuments den it is a lengthy process...pls suggest

Do you mean you will add your spouse as a dependant or in a separate primary application?

If she is a dependant on your application, there is no need to supply her education documents unless you are claiming adaptability points for her former study in Canada.

Experts an urgent query. In 2010 i applied for the student visa for canada and got the visa. At that time i filled father and mother date of birth as assumption but didnt remember what i exactly filled .

So now while filling the date of birth of father and mother what should i do ??

Confused.....

I have sent my Application on 23rd May. I had written 2173 as my NOC when I first entered data in the sheet, but eventually I have applied for NOC 2171 ('coz of many reasons). Kindly update the sheet accordingly.

As per DHL, the application pkg would reach CIC by 28th May.

Seniors, could you please make an educated guess on the odds of me getting into the CAP.

I have doubt here. once CIC officer receive the application package, will they put the package in Q ?? or they open the package and start assessment??
if they put the package in Q? how they gonna work to assess the package?? who will do the assessment, is the person who receive the package??

I have an issue regarding Settlement Fund, I have invested my money in my father business (he is a business man of vehicle parts) but when ever i need my money it can be arrange in one or two days my question in this when i send bank Certificate or Balance statement it will show a big amount which is come only one or two days before, please tell me what is the affidavit matter should be, by whom this affidavit will be, Is my father bank
statement is also need, Is my Tax certificate of my father is also needed. Please guide me guys i will be grateful to you.

You don't need to supply any particular explanation, but be prepared to explain this to the VO if they ask about it.

However you should note that you need to supply evidence of settlement funds along with your application, and probably again and some point to the local VO. Money invested in your father's business is not a liquid and unencumbered asset and therefore does not count as settlement funds. To be able to show it as settlement funds you need to get the money back first.

and have invested such amount of behalf of my son or i can show that the money is gift from my dad, i am so confuse.

You don't really need that unless the local VO asks for an explanation. All you have to do is show evidence that the funds are there.

Settlement funds are liquid and unencumbered assets. They must be liquid an unencumbered at the time you are purporting to show them. You cannot include this investment in your father's business as settlement funds right now if the money is still invested, because those funds are not liquid and unencumbered.

but what about ielts? How to get a second copy of eilts?

Call the center where you took IELTS exam. They will be able to tell you the procedure. I did the same and they told me to send them a request email with signed and scanned $35 payment authorization and sent me second copy. Good luck!

A marriage certificate is mandatory. However if you are unmarried at the time of application and get married while pending then you must inform CIC of the change in your status and provide updated information/documents including the marriage certificate at that time.
