Mates...Please help... If our credit card got declined then do CIC send a query about that to our mail ID.
Because my old credit card was replaced with new credit card with Chip as per RBI rules, But I have given my old credit card details when i Sent in Nov 16th.
Please guide how to proceed...

As per the experiences shared in the forum, CIC will try thrice your credit card. If on the third attempt, it will still show decline then they won't try to contact you but straight forwardly reject your application.

In my opinion you need to send addendum complete signed form to CIC with new credit card details along with cover letter citing the reasons. lease mention all the details like name, DOB, place, application received date, received by, passport number, passport expiry date etc. You need to wait for more responses by the experienced forum members then take decision at the earliest.

In status it says "In Process"

Application Date : 05-SEP-2014
CC Charge Date : 05-DEC-2014

What does it show in ECAS after getting PER?

ECAS stands from Electronic Client Application Status. This on-line service allows Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) clients to view securely the status of their immigration and/or citizenship application(s) on-line, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; anytime, anywhere.



When can I Check it
CIC states that they update ECAS statuses usually on Tuesday’s. But often we have noticed updates on other days as well. Usually applicant see their ECAS statuses updated about a week or so after their are charged. DD applicants however could take upto 2 weeks after the applications received on the same date as theirs are started to be checked. You will need to have a UCI to check it.

CIC will not send you any email to confirm your credit card details. There will try to charge your CC 3 times Max. and if they fail to charge it, they will send the entire package back using snail mail.

I believe, November apps. are undergoing completeness check at present. So I would advice you to send a new payment form briefing the situation along with the new payment details and request them to match it to your initial application.

Also, once your new payment form has been delivered, write a mail to CIC informing them that you have sent new payment form. Mention all the details that may help them to trace your application such as Courier shipment details, who received it, Your name, passport no. etc.

There is no guarantee that they will be able to match the addendum to your application but there is a fair chance that they might.

But Iam nov 17th applicant.. do I have fair chances that I get charged before 29th Jan.

People waiting for their MR

Dear Friends, I can't seem to find any emerging trend on receipt of MR from the spreadsheet.

My timeline is : Application: 23rd June PER:21st Oct 2nd Line updated on ECAS: 2nd December, But I have not received my MR/RPRF request email yet . My question here is, how many people who received their PERs around 21st October are still waiting on their MR emails to arrive? Specially those who come under NDVO's wing. Is it normal that even after getting the second line on ECAS updated on 2nd December, I still have not received my MR?

Although, there are fair chances that you will be charged before 29th Jan 2015, but don't take risk. Just send the addendum form citing the reasons on safer side. If they include that, then they might be having two option to swipe your payment.
