search online for a certified translator near your area.. I sas facing the same issue...... Found one online sent a scanned copy of my bc to the translator on her email which was translated and she only got the notarization done.... Paid her thru netbanking and the translated copy was couriered to memax09 said:Hi Guys
I am trying to prepare the English translation of my birth certificate. I went to the notary, he simply gave me a stamp paper and asked me to print the translation and he would notarize it.
Now I have translated the BC as such but while I searched on the internet for formats in which the translation is prepared, I found 2 different ones. The first one has a declaration from the translator at the end and it is then notarized. The second one just has notarization and says "This is a true and correct Translation of the original document from Hindi to English and compared with original document by me."
So which format should we use?
Also who could be a translator, do we need a certified translator or could anyone with the knowledge of both the languages can be one. In the latter case do we need to attach any credentials for the translator that would prove his ability to translate. If yes, what documents could be those.
There is no professional translation services available in my area.
I might be jumping the gun but really do not know how to go about getting the translation prepared which would be accepted by CIC.
Looking for quick inputs, seniors help please.
Thanks
Thanks AJXajx said:You must be able to find translator in your area, probably near Court .Usually they have membership number from Translation Society.
they need not to mention that number in affidavit.
But in case you are not able to find any professional translator , then you can use first option where Translator is taking oath (in Translation copy) and put someone's name(Not Yours or your family member) as a translator who can take responsibility of translation and notarized it, signed by both of you in front of Notary public.
i don't think CIC will be going after that translator, as long as translation is correct.
this is best you can do under your present circumstance.
U cannot translate on your own... U will need a certified translator and a sworn affidavit by the translator which will be notarized by a notarymax09 said:Thanks AJX
So in case I prepare the translation on my own, do I do it on a stamp paper or I do it on a normal paper and get it notarized?
Any sample if anyone could share of the translation of BC done, would give an idea.
Thanks.
Not to worry...continue your evaluation.dhesi said:Hello Friends,
I have sent my degree package to WES.however problem is that my mothers name is typed wrongly on all my degrees. I thought of changing it , but issue came because my 12th std certificate had that error,so my university asked me to change that first ;
So do avoid any delay I forwarded my marksheets with typo error to WES.
Now I am worried can this create any problem while my application is getting evaluated by CIC.
I heard that WES report will have only my name.however when i will be sending photostates of mark sheets to CIC,they can notice that and can reject my application.
Please advice or recommend any solution : how I can avoid this problem
Also her name on passport is typed correctly and 10 th certificate is not having name.
Thanks

Thanks kollins for the information.kollins said:Not to worry...continue your evaluation.
A simple cover letter written will take care of this issue and an affidavit.
It wont lead to denial or rejection of your application.
Cheers!
