No doctor at the test clinic will take the risk of advising you to have an x-ray done during your pregnancy. The decision to have the CXR is solely the mothers', even the husband can't force the wife to have one if she has doubts, while others have done it and had no side effects to the baby, no two pregnancies are alike. But for the sake of concluding your MR, people have confirmed that with new technologies, the radiation exposure are said to be less than you get everyday you walk in the sun, moreover the xray to be carried out is thorasic (Chest) and not abdominal. Even at that, the radiologist if told on time, will usually give you a lead shield to wrap around your abdomen to prevent the womb/baby from scattered rays.
