Hi, CIO and the VOs have applied a logic that defies any comprehension in analysing they way they are processing applications. So much abracadabra but safe to say that CIO is currently working on applications received mid September. I believe they will start on October applications by late December. Soon it will be your turn :)

No be small abracadabra...

Hi everyone!

Good morning.

I need some advice please. We are thinking of disengaging our lawyers. How do we go about it in an amicable manner?

Seniors please!

First and foremost ,be calm.
Baptismal birth certificate will not be accepted so it's no point in sending it to correct what you have in your application package already. The sworn affidavit is much more valued than your church baptismal certificate by CIC.
But if you indeed wants to send another evidence for you not to loose out,i will advice you to get a national population commission birthcertificate attestation nd send it.Also,if you have your primary school leaving certificate which normally carry your birth date and the name of your parents ,it's also another option for birth certificate claim with CIC.
If you can get photocopies of both documents, you can send it to keep your mind fully at rest.
Nevertheless,I'm not saying the sworn affidavit you initially used will not fly because Canadian government don't toy with any legal document,it's respected a lot and depending on the genuine nature of the affidavit....I'm sure you should know some may be deemed to be not genuine. So i believe you're cool but if you need to send anything, send the documents i listed up in my explanation .
To assure you and put your mind at rest,i know buddies who used sworn affidavit that fly through the process :D
Cheers

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm
What has the lawyers done wrong to be considering disengagemenet! :P
Anyways, don't mention the name of forum member that gave you advice oooooooooooooo...... :D
It's a simple and straight forward route.
Download the "Use of a Representative [IMM 5476] (PDF, 615 KB)" form .Fill it comprehensively. You will see the option to cancel your representative with other requested details.
Use the link below to send a CSE to Accra visa office and attach the form and give your request to them.
https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/case-cas-eng.aspx?mission=accra
Also,send a mail to
accra.immigration@international.gc.ca
accra@international.gc.ca
Attach the form in your email to them.
Please don't forget to give them your new form of correspondence which will replaced your lawyer's details.
Like I said, assume ignorance of who gave you this advice oooooooooooooo...... :D
Wish you the best.
Cheers
