Congrats. Pls. I have a short question, how do one check online status when PER mail is not yet received from CIC? I asked this for the benefit of others, as I could not access mine until after receiving my PER email on 8th August.
You can only check using UCI obtained either from returned application last year (CIC usually writes it on the space provided on the 1st page of generic form) or if you have obtained a Canadian Visa previously, it is the 8 digits written on the lower page of the visa.

Permit me to say a belated Congrats on your PER. I've been away on holiday, just came back on Sunday.

Pls. I have some questions, how does one confirm form transfer to AVO with a view to updating the spreadsheet. Does CIC send form transfer email as I have seen other applicants update theirs?
Usually Accra does not send mail acknowledging file transfer so the assumption is that the file has been transferred when PER is received

Secondly, my sons passport will expire in 2 months time and will be obtaining a new one for him, do I need to inform AVO now or should wait till Passport Request stage as I do not have any contact whatsoever with them presently.

Not quite sure how to handle this because i will be in a similar situation soon, over to my Seniors...

1. my former place of work does not exist any longer (bankrupt), what documents do i show for this?
2. can anyone estimate how long it take unilag to process transcript as im still waiting for them?
3. does anyone have like a format i can use to write my work experience?
4. do i need to submit police report with my initial application

I am new to this forum but have been following up on the Indian forum. I decided to switch over to our forum. I have lived in the UK (Scotland) on study residence permit for 2 years. I submitted my application in the UK after completing my Masters program here in Scotland. I will be in Nigeria this month to continue my application in Ghana by Jehovah's favour, Amen. Below is my God's favoured details for the ss update.

FSW1 NOC Code: 1212
Application Sent Via Regular Mail (Royal Mail): 25th of Aug., 2014
Application got received at Sydney CIC: 4th of Sep., 2014
Mode of Payment: DD (CAD Foreign Draft)
Awaiting PER by God's grace before mid Dec. all things being equal.

I will advice if we could state our details for every new update for easy inferences for new members.

I am looking forward to great success and constructive ideas from every one.

1. my former place of work does not exist any longer (bankrupt), what documents do i show for this? Was it ever published in the newspaper, internet etc, If no, you may have to do an affidavit saying the organization has gone under but hope you have the evidence showing you worked there before such as appointment letter, pay slips and other correspondence
2. can anyone estimate how long it take unilag to process transcript as im still waiting for them? Im sorry i cant tell because its not applicable to me, but i believe if you personally go there you should be able to fast track the process
3. does anyone have like a format i can use to write my work experience? The first thing you need to identify is what NOC your job experience falls under then we can provide advice on this
4. do i need to submit police report with my initial application It is not compulsory at the initial stage as we have seen lots of application go through without it. Visa office would ask for submission later on

Canadian mum already answered you...just some addendum..
1.You need every documents that can link you to your old company...payslips,employment letter,disengagement letter and an affidavit stating that they are no longer available.In the affidavit also,use it to declare your duties,working hours,entry/exit date,monthly/annual salary.
2.If you have the right contacts,it should be ready within one week....in fact,I did for a buddy...he followed up...it took less than 6 weeks for me to receive the ECA back from the date of registration.it depends on how you can push them.
3.PM me ...we can agree on something.
4.Not compulsory...in fact,I'll just advise you to ignore it because Accra will still ask for it again...its their standard request during Medica request.

Hi Ussave, welcome back and thanks for the good wishes.

As to your question about your son's about-to-expire passport, when AVO begins wok on your file, they will send you a list of things they require like forms to fill, PCC etc. This is when you can update them with your son's new passport number, aside that, no worries.

Hi, that would be best, to fill with a black pen and indicate 6 months.
