Hello guys, need your advise. I am a Filipino worker here in Malaysia for 5 yrs until now. My PR visa was already approved and I received mail that I need to submit my passport to High Commission of Canada in Singapore. So what I did is, went to VFS Malaysia office to let them submit my passport to SINgapore Visa Office ( as what also stated in the mail). Does it really take 1-3 months for SGVO to return to me my passport? Will there be a chance of returning my passport and tell me to submit it to Visa Office in Manila?

Dear Brother,

Yes usually it takes from 2-3 month to get the stamped passport...

If u are having some problem then send them Case specific inquiry whether u want to submit it on Manila or Singapore....They may provide u an advice...


I guess u have received ur Medical from Manila....Lucky guys....

you mean Pumaca have same scenario as with me? did his/her original VO is Singapore and then transfer to Manila VO and get stamped passport for 25 days only?
if that is the case then i do have problem, I cannot wait for 2-3 months..

How do you guys knows your application status like initial review or final review? Whenever I log on to "Check Your Application Status" via online service, its shows my application status "In Process". Detail is showing "We received your application for permanent residence on July 16, 2013". Nothing more than that.

Any idea how the SGVO does the background check and the financial check. I have provided them all documents during application. But not sure whats thier process and how they do their checks
