my application was received by cic on 20th may.. fee payment mode is DD but i wonder wen cic starts processing 20th may apps my dd validity dont get expired coz it has 3months validity only.. even no bank here in india gives more den 3 months validity as per RBI guidelines.. so taking this into consideration i guess CC is the much better way to pay fee.. may cic contact me to extend the validity of my dd instead of just returning my application back to me.. last year also i fell out of cap and cic returned my application.. any guesses guys??? or any experienced one out there who may hav received his application back just coz of the validity of dd is over.. Huh

So you are sure that Now if i change my company it will not be a problem.

Usually this kind of stuff is performed by VO's some times if they found some thing fishy in your application documents..

No they will not contact before AOR. They will contact your employer only after your application reaches Visa Office.

thanks a lot.. got some relief.. but how do u know dat cic knows this RBI rule.. and will they return my application if my dd gets expired.. if u are known to any such issue being faced by someone earlier den plz do share.. it will be a great favour to me..

I was in this situation when waiting for my PER. So I sent them a second DD to cic with a cover letter that asked to use the old DD if still active and if not use the new one. And asked to return the usedone. I sent them mailing lables with my address.

Luckily the encashed my old DD just less than a week before it expired. They emailed me stating that they are returning my new DD. I got it after 2 weeks.

All international DD's has 6 mnths validity,3 mnths is within india, and if u go with forex company DD's thy dun hv validity dates for their DD's one cn encash them evn aftr 6 mnths ....
