Thanks so much for your sharing.

Do you know about job opportunities for network engineer?
Do they appreciate Cisco certificates such as CCNA, CCNP or just want experiences?
No IT company runs without a network engineer... I'm sure it's good specially with your certifications....good luck:)

Hello forum family
been away for a while but i have to come back to share my status update as i just got my passport in my hands today after a long journey where it was almost lost twice
strange enough that today's date is 20th June, exactly one year after my application reached CIC on 20th June 2013 :)

ok here's my status update:
------------------------------
- my passport was delivered to my brother in Toronto who then bought Canada Xpresspost envelope, enclosed the stuff and forwarded it to CPP-O
- Passport delivered to CPP-O on 2014/04/07
- Maple leaf stamped on my passport on 2014/04/08 & with the CoPR. (ADMINS please turn me golden and move me to Visas sheet :D)
- it started the journey back on 2014/04/10 and delivered to my brother in Toronto on 2014/04/11 where it was picked from mail box 18/4
- Passport then returned to my with another relative coming to my country where I received it in my hands today 2014/06/20

My ECAS status now showing:
--------------------------------
Decision Made
with the fourth line added (not sure when):
A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.

I THANK GOD for everything, it's all God's plan for my life that got me to this stage
and of course thanks for the forum admins here and all the forum family (not sure if any of the old forum guys still come here but hope they got their Visas too by now)

for any questions please send me personal message as I won't be following the posts here for a while and i will be more than happy to answer asap

Good luck everyone and hope you'll get ur MR, PPR and visa soon

again many thanks for all of you and hope to see you all in Canada one day

I used it as i wanted people to notice it and answer quickly so that i can make DD on Saturday(my holiday) will be busy next week..but never expected that there people on the forum who will quote this extra large font message even without an answer....

HI
thanks a lot for sharing. Did your 1st Day had all the sessions as the one's from the below link ?

http://get2canada.wordpress.com/our-ciip-experience/

please do share, your second day as well.
Yes the link provides the detailed writeup and those are the topics that are covered. Same with 2nd day as well.

They had prepared an action plan document with whole lot of details, mostly pointers to weblinks.

It covers the settlement details for location you intend to move to, intended occupation details like where to expect more jobs in your occupation, range of salaries to expect, Councils/regulatory bodies to work with etc...

They also would fwd the action plan to you and copying the relevant partners we may need to work with in Canada for successful career, smooth settlement and faster integration.

For instance, entities like Careeredge.ca which provide paid internships are available only upon referral and which they would refer us to.

All the best to everyone :)

HI
Many thanks for sharing the info. Does the CIIP counselor, suggests which province best suits for our NOC's. if so, how exactly, do they brief the details present for that NOC in that specific province. Do they explain the kind of organisations one can approach for jobs.
also, do they help in with any pre-departure info as well ? plz lemme me know.

Yes, infact that information is available online...
http://www.jobbank.gc.ca/occupation_search-eng.do

Search with ur NOC code and location. It gives jobs info. in the selected location, province wise, across canada And multiple tabs providing salary details, related News, reg. bodies and so much more....

If u hate clicking around Tabs and want to see everything in a single page, just do below steps...
Click Print Options, Click both the select all options, Click print preview..... which displays everything in a page 8)

And yes, as i said earlier, they provide details of councils, regulators and other entities who could guide in the process....

Most of this could be initiated Pre-departure :)
