I am confused as like my other NOC 3142 & 2131 friends. The CAP update on Nov 27 is done only with these 2 and others are not changed at all. Even the total number is not changed. My guess and only hope is that CIO had taken enough number of these 2 NOC applications to fill the CAP as these are the only NOCs close to fill the CAP. I sent an enquiry mail and hoping to see a positive reply from CIO or a PER - if I am that lucky. My application reached on 23 Sept n NOC 3142. The same day there are 2 applicants from NOC 2131 & one applicant from my NOC 3142 with CC. Eagerly waiting for them to post if their payment is done.

as the cap is closed they donot charge payment and they only send back our application package.

Friends

I am really getting very tensed now. There is no change in status nor there is any MR email, although i am 16th May applicant. I see a lot of MR being issued from NDVO for NOC 0211, but somehow there is no progress on mine.

Dont know what to do.. Is this a negetive sign or do i have to wait more... not sure really

Jack,

How about us...2263 people....NDVO has not yet started issuing MR to our NOC...when people who applied later than us getting MRs it is obviously much more tense now...dont know how NDVO is handling...but keeping in mind LVO (which of course have not yet started), we shud think better that at least our VO has started doing something....one by one all cases will be cleared and issued....it depends on the officer who is handling our file.. ;) ;)

As per my thinking goes, at least 50% from this forum will get MRs by December end from NDVO...becos already we are in queue and our evaluations are going on....so we can expect it any time....see ITguy_del case, he applied much earlier than robs, but robs got MR first....all of us r going to hear the good news just 1 to 2 days here and there..thats it...

Let us pray all our forumites including LVO guys hear good news soon... 8) ;D :D

I agree with kumar2263........ ;D
Jack... I'm also a bit worried..... I'm May 15th applicant... NOC 1112.... :(.... You can see in this category already 3 people have received MR.....
I'm sure every one of us is quite tensed... as we don't have any idea how NDVO is working.... seeing the current scenario... it is impossible to guess... I check my mail n number of times... to see this golden mail ..... we all have lots of dreamzzzz but can't help it .... at times it becomes so disappointing.... :(.... Let's hope for the best .... might be next is our turn.... you never know..... ;D.....
Every day I pray... that's all I can do...... :) We have already done our part.... let's be positive.....At least we can expect it at any time now...coz our VO has already started issuing it.... I wish all the other VOs also start issuing it soon.... :)

How to obtain a police certificate - Nigeria

Do I need to provide a police certificate when applying for permanent residence?
Yes. However, the certificate will be released directly to the Canadian visa office upon request.

How and where do I obtain one?

Local Requests
Applicants should apply in person with their valid passport, two passport photographs and the applicable fees. Residents of Nigeria should apply to:

Central Criminal Registry
Force C.I.D. Annex
Alagbon Close Ikoyi
Lagos, Nigeria

Non-Resident Requests
Applicants should apply by courier to the Commissioner of Police at the address above, to the attention of Inspector Usman Mohammed (telephone: 08033696178). Applicants should provide a pre-paid return courier envelope, a copy of their passport and a set of fingerprints taken and certified by a recognized police authority or the Nigerian embassy or consulate, and an international money order payable to the Nigerian Police Force, CID. Police certificates may be certified at the nearest Nigerian embassy or consulate for a fee.

If you ask me the only difference is in terms of 'money and convenience' when you go to Seva Kendra versus SSP office :D

Hi Experts,

I am 2174 NDVO applicant waiting for medicals.
I recently renewed my passport and I got passport on 28th November.
How should I inform NDVO about this. My passport number has changed.
Can I login to ecas and tell them, send them an email or send them a snail mail?
Please let me know your thoughts.

About the Nigerian Police Certificate, I found out about this website http://www.nigeriacrb.com/m/index.htm

I was in England earlier this year and was going to use them if i was still there when i started processing my appliation but didnt anymore because i returned to Nigeria. I think to prevent fraud, they have Paypal as a payment method and people seem to have given their testimonies after using them. Again, I must stress that I did not use them but I was going to use them if I had been in England at the time I started processing my application so I can't answer any questions about how effective their services are. There is a contact number there you can call to enquire. I think the only other alternative will be to come to Nigeria and get it done in one day at the Police Station.
