CIC is currently charging applicants who submitted their file in the last week of June, then they will start off with July & then August. Your application reached there on 25th August which is far far away from what CIC is processing currently. Even if i show optimism, I cannot be sure about the number of applications CIC would have received by the time they open yours.

For your information, this forum, as of now, roughly constitutes 28% of the total apps received by CIC. This %age might increase or decrease going forward.

2132 seems to be a hot NOC after the two capped NOCs. Since, you have already filed your application, I would not discourage you but rather give you a positive vibe that leave it to the Almighty now & hope that your application opens before the cap is reached. As for now you have no other option but to play the waiting game my friend. Cheers ;D

Thank you for your comments. I should have considered Australia insteaay be I should start looking into that. In your opinion, about when should I expect a response from Immigration Canada? Early February? Thanks.

I guess no more buffer. I received a response on my inquiry from CIO that my application was returned on Sept 11 due to cap filled. I will let you all know when I receive it. But I am thinking at-least 2 months since it has to reach India. Thanks all the admins and other forumites for all the help and support. I will be getting ready for next year and may be explore Aussie PR. Is there a similar forum for Aus? Please let me know. Hope we get another platform like this for FSW 2014 too and I would love to contribute there as well. Special thanks to Islandbabe who started this.

Can you tell me when did you email them ? Wanted to know since I emailed them on 16 Aug and yday received an email that my application is awaiting initial processing and I will be contacted in due course. How inconsistent they are. Even if I remain positive, news like these and posts from other forum members have spread the pessimism in me

I am the only one without AOR among the people with the same day application sent or close by....this is scaring me.

I am 16th May applicant but have not got PER/AOR.I mailed them.
They said its awaiting for review and will be contacted in course of time.
Did u mail CIC ?

You can put my details also , inshort yet to get AOR , my file was transfered to NDVO on 2nd Aug ( per CIO ) and my application was sent on 16th May
