after more than 24 hours of continous stressfull work, finally returned home and was able to check my e-mail, and there i found it lying since yesterday, finally with the bless of God, I have received my PER....Yahooooooooooooooooo 8) heeeh heeeh

Guys just to share how I was able to contact CIC for free. I downloaded magicjack application. You can call US or Canada for free. That is what I used when I got my UCI no.

To call CIC or listen to IVR just dial (613) 944-4000. Then follow the voice prompt.

Hope this will help to save money for call cards or phone bills.

Im a 2174 applicant from may 14. My fee was encashed on july 16. A month ago, due to the lacks of news, i wrote an email to cic asking for the status of my application. Today they finally answered back with:

"Your file is with our office and is awaiting completion of initial processing. You will be contacted in due course."

I don't know what to think(am i in the cap?..what exactly is initial processing after encashing fee?)

What do you guys think?

Hi All Well Wishers

Got the AOR email yesterday afternoon from NDVO. What a great relief. The entire waiting process is really very sterssful and hard to believe.

So on an average, its been approx 2 months to get the PER from the date of application received and approx 2 months to get AOR.

Hoping the same trend continues and will get the Medical, PPC request email in next 2 months.

What are the usual questions asked by Back ground verification agency for employment history verification at the resident country?

HR folks pls share the common questions so our references and our self are well informed.

3. the dates of employment (Overall start and end, Title wise start and end date)
4. the salary earned at each of your jobs (How frequently paid, in what form the payment is)
5. reasons for leaving (Might not apply as CIC is not an employer)
6. residence (Might not apply as CIC is not an employer)
