Senior pls. advise .

This is from the CIC WEBSITE
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/asia-pacific/india.asp

There r two types of PCC
(1) Issued by SSP / SP from respective police station that comes under ur city jurisdiction.
(2) Issued by Passport Seva Kendra (PSK)
Its upto u which service u want to avail.
Regarding ur comment-->

Hi and welcome to the forum:

01. Your lawyers are right in that you don't require a PCC from Canada as CIC will verify that through background checks which are conducted by CSIC.
02. It is HIGHLY advisable that when you are requested by your VO to submit Police certificates, you submit freshly acquired ones including your indian PCC. Don't submit the one you already have. It is only logical to think that hopefully when they request you for your PCC, this would indicate that your case is highly likely to be approved for PR, and also since almost an year of processing would have passed, the VO would need to be really assured through fresh PCC that your are currently clean and have no criminal record.
03. CIC accepts all PCCs as valid for 1 year provided you had sent them with the initial application.
04. From experience and the excel sheet on this forum, it is safe to say that if your ECAS is showing "InProcess" then your case is safe and has most probably passed the PER stage and you might even have been sent and email from CIC which might be in your junk folder. Assuming you have passed the PER stage, then next step should be that your file will be forwarded to your VO and you might receive an AOR from your VO that they have received your file.

Seniors please correct if I am wrong.

I just found out the meaning of the word PER lol. Yes I received positive eligibility in the same email as the UCI, file number and everything on July 27, 2013.

Hi sam472

You don't even need to call your agent or threaten him. It is your LEGAL right to fill the following form (sections A,C and D) and send it directly to CIC and your VO at ANY stage of the PR process.

It might be a problem, however your NOC is quite cold, so I guess you should not be that tensed.

Thanks , all PCC issued by local authority , by it should be verified by Central Govt . You have to apply your local police station , commissioner , supendt, office then they will check with their process and will give you the certificate with Central Govt. approval .
So If you get a PCC any local authority then will cover all INDIA .

Thanks / SUSAN

I fully agree with hassan. DD is an assured mode of payment. One of our forum members got his application rejected because the CIC was not able to charge his CC. so its better to wait for a day or two than to be sorry .
Well, your comments make sense, DD is somehow safer than CC... I was too eager to get my PER, probably I should not blame my DD payment choice...

Congratulations :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Does it mean that CIC is currently reviewing document received on or after June 17th ? Not sure whether they are reviewing document based on the datetime irrespective of NOC code or they sort files based on NOC code and then review one by one based on date? Anyone know whats the logic behind this

Well, I have already iterated that PCC should be taken from latest address where u have lived for more than one year.

I can only suggest u based on my understanding but its only upto u to take it or ignore it. Not gonna affect me or my application in anyways.
