This is exactly what I am worried about now.
I tried doing a reference check for my wife who left the organisation years ago with the intention of knowing if a verification can be done by phone or not. I pretended to be the HR official of another Hospital.

On the first attempt: The call landed to the receptionist who tried to transfer the call to the HR dept, where the phone rang endlessly and no one answered.

Second attempt: This time, I called after an hour and spoke to a different receptionist, who was talking to someone else and me at the same time. After stating the purpose of the call thrice, she transferred the call to Mr. Fernandes of the HR who told me that they don't have data of employees employed 3 years ago. He stated it is hospital policy. (I was sweating when he told me this, come on man, why would you have a company policy that states something like this..)

Third attempt: I called and the receptionist who answered my call the first time transferred to another person who asked for the employee code and told me the period of employment.

I didn't dare to do the reference check for the second reference point.

Moral of the story:
If your VO has a bad day, I don't think he will attempt to call 3 times. If you are providing references of big organisations, this can happen.

Well my point of view would be, As long as ur Papers are correct, u dont have to worry .. they wont refuse the application simply because they didn't find anyone in the office ... these things can happen and if u r right u cal always appeal and win it.

They seem to use the term "In process" in a general sense as it appears as a hyperlink on the first page of the eCAS.

I guess in my case, "In process" for now would mean - "Application received" - the first step in the explanation diagram/ table.

The "In process" term also appear in the explanation diagram/ table, which I then believe, denotes processing at the respective VO at a later stage after AOR.

I may be completely wrong here. Guys, please enlighten me.. ::)

Has Old one been de-activated? If not then don't activate the new card until it expires. I guess it would be ok in this case.

I would suggest to talk to the bank but I think the old one is no more valid now once you have activated the new card. It shouldn't be use in first place if the expiration was so near. Wish you best of luck though.

I informed that the previous CC has lost and my brother had to ask the bank to renew it so the previous CC is not available anymore. Do you think CIC will contact me if they can not take money from the account?

My apk (FSWP NOC: 1112) received by MMAC on Aug 06, 2013. Cap (300) reached on Aug 23, 2013. Can anyone tell me whether I am within the cap?

Sorry to say but most probably no.

Unfortunately they will not contact you but rather may send the application back because they wouldn't be able to charge the fee as it is one of the criteria for the applications to be considered as completed, Payment! I am not expert in CIC matters but it happened to few fellow members here in this forum that due to inability to get the money they have returned the applications. I am not sure but may be if you have previous UCI by chance you can try sending the new payment form.
