CIC will only call the employer if there is some doubt and they feel that it can be rectified by speaking to someone. It is most likely to do with job description. About the language, I don't know why you have such an old school understanding. We are not living in the stone age my friend This is the federal skilled program. To be doing any of these "skilled" level jobs, I assume you need to have some sort of university degree. If you have been to university, I assume you will have an adequate grasp of English? If you do speak English, it is likely your boss does as well. So I cannot see why language should be a barrier.

Anyway, back to the point. CIC calling employers is good news as opposed to them just rejecting FSW applications outright as they do not understand something in the job description. Hope this helps...

i don't understand why the canada govt. is playing with emotions of pepoles.now the recent news is that strike may go up to till october.if govt. doesn't find any solution then OUR APPLICATION WILL GO IN BACKLOG.forget about 2014, that's why some applicants got AOR of 72 month. it's really disgusting so don't happy to get PER.because struggle start after per. i pray to god to give some sense to canadian govt. to resolve this issue.

No one has asked for your kidney. This is just an immigration process. Delays are expected and inevitable. At least you have the option to walk away if you don't like the process. But pls keep calm. Spreading panic is worse than killing someone. You are hurting more than just one person!

I dare say CIC employ people who can speak at least a few of the major languages of the world.
Pallavi has had an unusual experience, but the info posted is informative and I don't doubt it.

Guys, please. You are traveling to dangerous places in your minds. Do you really think CIO will have officers expert in 15, 20 languages/dialects to call every applicant's employers around the world? Come on!

Who said CIC need experts in 15, 20 languages? English or French are two official languages in Canada with English being most widely accepted globally. If the Job descriptions on the letter are in English, then why would anyone want to talk in any other language?

Although, it's still indigestible to me to have anyone call from CIC to verify if the job roles are correct mainly because of two reasons;
Firstly, it's the job of VO to verify background and authenticity of submitted documents against forgery or manipulation.
Secondly, even if CIC might want to confirm anything from NS directly, they'll never call. They will put an email and give respondent 7-15 days time to revert.

CIC's ROLE IS TO MATCH JOB ROLES WITH THE NOC APPLIED UNDER TO BE ABLE TO TAKE DECISION ON ELIGIBILITY OF THE APPLICANT AND NOT CROSS INVESTIGATE THE AUTHENTICITY OF DESCRIPTIONS ON THE REFERRAL LETTER.

On the side note and just my speculation here; there's no prank or nothing funny with the Canadian number from which Pallavi's senior got a call. It'll be a true call. Just that Pallavi's consultant might have called her seniors because they might have got some response from CIC. (assuming her consultant is in Canada)
