For the love of god (or anything else you prefer), can you pls stop panicking?? It is what it is; we just have to deal with it. Your post is so exaggerated; pls stop it! No one has asked for your kidney. This is just an immigration process. Delays are expected and inevitable. At least you have the option to walk away if you don't like the process. But pls keep calm. Spreading panic is worse than killing someone. You are hurting more than just one person!

Please ignore this person Johny....He has been asked many times to share his info but instead he keeps posting unnecessary comments.

Then you must have mandatorily attached an English/French translation.

Yes, indeed I did. My point is that English is not so widely used here in Brazil like it is in other countries and advanced skills are not mandatory in most job descriptions, even for skilled occupations.

Hello admins and everyone

Today, Aug 21, have received email from CIC with saying "...our application has received a positive determination of eligibility to be processed on the basis of work experience..." . Most probably this is PER, please update the spreadsheet.

Good luck to everyone and thanks again for good job at forum

Updated. Congrats.

Who said CIC need experts in 15, 20 languages? English or French are two official languages in Canada with English being most widely accepted globally. If the Job descriptions on the letter are in English, then why would anyone want to talk in any other language?

Although, it's still indigestible to me to have anyone call from CIC to verify if the job roles are correct mainly because of two reasons;
Firstly, it's the job of VO to verify background and authenticity of submitted documents against forgery or manipulation.
Secondly, even if CIC might want to confirm anything from NS directly, they'll never call. They will put an email and give respondent 7-15 days time to revert.

CIC's ROLE IS TO MATCH JOB ROLES WITH THE NOC APPLIED UNDER TO BE ABLE TO TAKE DECISION ON ELIGIBILITY OF THE APPLICANT AND NOT CROSS INVESTIGATE THE AUTHENTICITY OF DESCRIPTIONS ON THE REFERRAL LETTER.

On the side note and just my speculation here; there's no prank or nothing funny with the Canadian number from which Pallavi's senior got a call. It'll be a true call. Just that Pallavi's consultant might have called her seniors because they might have got some response from CIC. (assuming her consultant is in Canada)
No offenses Pallavi, just my speculation.

+1 for you...

You deflected the topic in-between from "officers expert in 15-20 languages" to "English not widely used in Brazil". Obviously, if CIC calls they will not be talking to you or your senior in Brazilian or Portuguese, will they? You know the answer yourself.

This is not referred to as the healthy and to-the-point communication. You just missed the agenda of the discussion. Sorry mate.

Dear Adrenalineforu, my intention was just to calm down people that was already talking to their bosses, HR and colleagues about a possible call from CIC, and I know how embarrassing it can be. You are right, the discussion was lead to unexpected chit chat and I am sorry for this.
