An Appeal

Dear Members,

I have seen normal human tendency that once one work is done and completed successfully, member would vanish from the forum without sharing his experience and updates.

I think this is the worst condition as we all are here to help each other so regardless of your position in getting your case process I feel we should help each other with our views and experience we have gone through during the process of immigration and this is what the forum is made for.

I hope no member would take this appeal personally but its an open request to all to kindly contribute to forum so other members can be benefited.

from which bank you got the DD and do you think what they have said abt the status update is true means is there any senior in bank who said this, please share ur feelings on this as today I also contacted my bank (HDFC) but they said it is still outstanding and not paid as of date. I'm 28th may applicant.

Hi NRK,

my bank is SBI. And the guy from whom i inquired is a friend. He said the bank will take 2 days in Canada to cash the DD and then 2 more days to notify the same back to the bank from which the DD was issued. So 4 working days before you get to know that your DD was en-cashed 4-5 days back..!!
Hope to hear good news next week, otherwise the wait is really hard..!!

Happy to hear u succeeded in getting UCI, kindly post the complete details how u contacted and proceeded to get through. it would be great if post complete details in right sequence so that we can also get through easily.

I'm 28th May applicant of NOC 2132, m waiting eagerly to have any update. Today, I called my bank where they told your DD is still outstanding and not paid as of date. I'm very much worried... :'( :'( :'(

To know the status of your application by calling cic from outside canada
dial - 0016139444000
select 1 for English
then 1 for foreign affair
2 for immigration
call is being transferred to cic
then 1 for English
2 for status
1 for PR
8 digit client id number will be asked
listen the request 3 times without entering client id number
then the call is automatically transferred to an agent
agent will ask information about last name, first name, date of birth, application received date, email id etc
then agent will check in the system and shall give feedback.

Just tell them it has been more than 2 months since you sent in ur app but have not got any response. I would be obliged if you could give me the UCI number...

hello friends, this is really very very strange for me that no body is very much concern about file transfer to VO. if some one contact to local VO then please share some information.i especially request all NDVO applicants please share some information about file transfer.so,i hope somebody will surely share some information.

Passports expiring - any comments????
My kids and spouse paspsorts are expiring in December 2014.
Please comment if any of friends with an idea as how PR Visa will work, as if approved. Will PR continue with expire passports or I should try to get it renewed before asked by CHC to submit.
Although still it si a start for me but if i intend to believe that all will be ok and expected outcome is by mid next year, passposts would be valied for another less than 6 months maybe.

You can update all this once your file is transferred to Local visa office

You renew your passport and get new one, as your file transfered to your local VO and than inform them about your renewed passpost with valid reason, so whenever they ask your passport for stamping you can send new passport it self.

Have you got a UCI number? I tried thrice but they also told me the same thing. This is not the right avenue to get UCI number. But the 4th time when i called up, they themselves asked me all the details & gave me a UCI number

And for your information bro, I am a 12th June 2132 applicant So call them again tonight!! You will definitely get to hear something from them.

Urgent!!!

I'm not able to validate generic form of one of mine friend as he has only single word name means no Last name or family name, in that case Family Name field is blank in generic form and therefore it could not validate. If we write Not Applicable it appears "Not Applicable,H." on top left corner of other rest pages. This year, I hired consultant for my case and he knows the trick to validate the form by leaving the field blank but he refused to help me in this case as this is pertained to my frien. kindly explain if anybody knows the trick to validate.

I dont think so. I called up from Magicjack app from Iphone. Any calls to US & Canada are free with Magic Jack app. Or you can try Google Hangout!
