Dear friends, my question is:

Is it 100% sure that if you sent the old dated form (old schedule 3 form), the application will be returned as unprocessed?

I sent the old form on May 17 and was expecting the return of my package. Judging from their speed of processing, it should have been returned to me even by snail mail. but then again, there is still no show of any postal package for me, nor any feed back from cic.

I know it's silly fantasy but somehow I was praying the my application was not returned and process. So any sign of cc or dd encashed for May 17 applications?

Hi Jigzzy & all members of forum please guide me. My application was received on 13 May at 10:50 a.m, I haven't mentioned my email address in my application therefore didn't received any email. But i managed to got my Client Id from call center agent, she also told me that they have sent me letter dated July 12, but i haven't received that letter yet, when I input this client ID in cic website to check status of my application , it is appearing "In Process" and in details it is mentioned "We have received your application on May 13". Please note that my DD was not en cashed yet. So please anyone tell me at what stage my application is??

Hiya. We are in the same boat. Our application was recieved on the 13th and still no credit card charge. I am losing hope and wondering what it is we did wrong.

We had a mad dash as when a few hours after the courier picked up our application we realised they had brought out the new generic application form.
The FedEx guy, bless him brought our application back to us and waited while we, in a mad dash filled out the new forms and swapped them for the old.
Because of the rush the code page was not put on top of the application. Wondering if they have not even bothered to look at the application because of this.
All this waiting and not knowing is not good for my mental health. I wish they would just let us know one way or another.

My file has been received by CIO, NS by 7th of June 2013. I made my DD on 23rd May 2013, which has validity upto 23rd August 2013 (as people are saying DD is valid for 3 months only)

Will my DD be liquefied before 23rd of August 2013? ??? If it will not happen my DD will expiry and file will be send back.

hello some says dd validity 3 month ...while other 6 month.....generally cheque validity is 3 month....u should confirm again about your dd validity in ur bank.

Oh, 23rd is not so far I'd say before the end of next week. Now when the biggest rush with application receiving has passed - the time needed for processing each day will get shorter significantly.
You can see on the spreadsheet that there was 2-3 times more applications on 5/9 to 5/13 than on days after 5/16, so 5/23 will come fast. I think they will now go to processing 1 'day' per day and then even faster than that as time goes by.

As they say where I come from, wish for sugar and sweets in your mouth.

As per RBI instructions, only domestic dd are valid for 3 months. There is no clear instruction regarding international DDs. I confirmed it from SBI branch before opting for DD as payment method. They said it is valid for 6 months.

So, no need to worry.

I have also confirmed to THOMAS COOK and they replied foregien currency DD is valid for 6 months. So no one should worry about expiry of DD.

Yes, DD validity is usually 3 month, buy it has not to be an issue I hope.

As some of the caps get filled, the processing speed at CIC should increase significantly. Hopefully.
And as somebody mentioned the amount of applications received is gradually decreasing further from 4th May.
