Yes that could be a good idea but I don't think providing details will harm anyone here as everyone is very helpfull and got their answers for their queries.Anyway if privacy is the core idea behind not sharing then they should also refrain to check details of other people in this forum or spreadsheet :ethics, just saying

I have a question....

I am using CC as mode of payment this is the same card is used for payment of WES fees. Somebody mentioned here that CIC have different system of charging .... so it was pointed out that for that we need to inform our bank about the transaction before hand so that the payment is through without any requirement of permission for it.

Could somebody shed some light on this??

within the spreadsheet applicant i dont think privacy is criteria, many of member within spreadsheet may not regularly use this forum, like someone earlier says use of more PC attracts to use this forum.
by PM they can get notificaiton in mailbox.

i also used CC for payment. I called my bank to give them instructions that i am expecting this amount to be charged on my CC from IMMIGRATION CANADA. The lady informed me that they will do a bypass as sometimes the bank might assume that it is a fraud transaction. You can do the same with your bank just to make sure your payment for CIC will go through.

Jigzy I have also checked with my bank about the possible encashment of DD, since my salary account is with Stabdard Chartered, but the bank told me that they cannot see the encashment of the cheque due to them they said they don't have visibility whether it has been encased or not..(This information directly I have check with the Bank Branch last week where the draft has been made) since the online banking ppl won't be able to help you on that.

Branch banking would not know the status, this has to be mailed from the Forex RM to the forex department. All banks will get to know the status if the DD has been " Liquidated". if you don't have a good relationship with the bank the easy way to push you around is that "we wont know the status sir" - which is true ( they wouldn't have a clue ) but they need to send a mail ( attach a copy of your DD ) ... am not talking on assumption my banker had shown the reply mail from the forex saying "the DD has not been Liquidated".....
