At long last, I was able to get through to CIC... It seems the ladies there are very considerate than the guys. A fact known after eight (8) successful call.

Now... the lady took my details and check but told me that there is no information log for my application NOC 2147 received on May 8, 2013.

After exercising worries... she suggested that my application might have been received but may not be in process yet.

I just hope Mr Glen Miller passed it to the right office :o :o :o

Oh this gives me scares. what do we make of this?
Application received but not processed yet? According to FIFO rule, it should be processed before May 9th applicant who got charged last week.

2147 VO's looks like very lazy :/ Still No news is good news. Because if there's been a problem, they would have enetered in the system

What i really don't understand is what they are doing for almost two months?!! if first stage is for checking the completeness of the applications, does it really need such long time?!

what i understand that the second stage of PER or NER should take more time than only 7 working days as this is the stage where they start to check through the details of the application.

I reread the manual just now, and this is what I understand.

  • Receive application & date stamp it
  • Completeness Check
  • Ministerial Instructions Check
  • Eligibility Check
  • Record in the system that file is received
  • Enter Federal Skilled - 1
  • Goes for CC / DD
  • Assign & write UCI on the paper file
  • Send email of PER to the applicant

May be we are taking it wrong THAT after completeness its payment. Remember Sachin's case? He got his file returned that he missed the sign AND job duties does not match. This is only possible IF above steps are true.

Freebird, let's not forget that Canada has couple of hundred thousands of applications in queue from previous years. Who knows what all is messed up about all of those and who is supposed to check that.

Imagine if only 10 guys from those 200000 people call CIO every day for info?? :D :D

I agree Jigzyy, I think they are doing it this way to save time. In 2011, persons had to wait sometime 3 months from CC/DD encashed to get PER, we here are getting in 5-10 days.

I agree with what you are saying, i am just wondering that the real process which is after CC charged or DD encashed is taking less time than the checking of completeness of applications!!

We need to plant an agent there to tell us what they are doing! :D

I agree with you Jigzzy. this analysis of yours actually makes sense. I do want to believe no news is still good news.

Why there is still no update on CIC ??! >:(
The last update has been made 8 days ago.
I am afraid that after this loooong weekend, they can't mobilize themselves.

Yes, that's the only way they could cut down the time between payment and PER.
