Thanks Adrenaline....Jigzzy deserves to be my 1000th post, he had a very hectic week last week, but still made time for us, let us hope that his efforts will be rewarded this week.

@ Tashford - Just a simple question! Is there any option of CAD 490 in the Fee Payment Form?

No that's why I was slightly confused or I was missing something.

Thanks for everyone's responses

AGREED Adrenaline......Settlement fund should be the liquid assets/funds on hand as stated in the guidelines for your family size. It does not have to be related to the top 2 questions.

@ anac, bharat and other - As long as the Settlement Fund is >= the requirement as per family size, you are good to go. CIC does not want to see some quarterly or yearly report of an individual; they need to know the resultant funds that shall help them to decide whether a applicant should be accepted or rejected on that ground.

Hope that sorts out the issue.

I dont think anyone of above will work.

your cc should be charged within a week as your application was reached on 10th may (this is guess based upon currend sitution)
is it possible for you to have same card (new one) form bank and old one blocked?
I am not sure bank can issue that but this is what you can try form bank (that is also immidiately)
other thing if possible can your bank block all the transition other than to cic?

means anyhow you need to clear your payment with same which you have submited with your application.

search the alternative with bank

No

The card is bloked already, and its "one way ticket"..

Civeng, No such thing here, we just rely on the decency of people, Where ever you go these type of people will exist, its just the sad reality. Maybe there will just be less of them in CAnada, and more rule and regulations to deter from their bad/inconsiderate behavior!

Hi everyone !
off the topic question(so that I don't think of CIC): in your country are there any "quiet hours" as in from 14-17 you don't drill holes in the walls or slam the hammer?? I have an idiot neighbour doing this since 8:30 am and my kids are trying to sleep!! I am so pis.ed off!!! I do hope in Canada the rules are more strict and punish ppl that don't respect the others !!

Hope I'll see you all tomorrow with better news (from CIC) ! :)

@ Amitind........I updated your entry with the information that you sent me...Please verify though the you DO have a job offer, this is somewhat puzzling to me Amit, since you are applying under noc 2174.....why not apply under the arranged employment programme, for which there is no cap?

You are in a great position with a job offer :) All the best.

I hope it could have been so. But I think it was mistakenly sent as Yes. Please update it to "No".

Thanks, anyways. :)

Thanks Jigzyy and Islandbabe for answering :-* One can only hope people rely on decency, but not always...thus I hope Canada will be a better place (for so many other reasons ::))

Jigzyy hope you bought a big bottle of champagne to celebrate virtualy with us once your DD is encashed!!

See you all tomorrow!! 8)

If you like your piece of mind and having silence in your home/flat - than you should consider Switzerland. They are notorious for their "permit to flush the toilet at night" agreements between tenants and landlords. :P
It's an urban myth of course, but in general they are veeeery regulated as a society, together with almost everything in it. Some like it, some don't.

It look sooo boring when there's no movement and when there's so much, we get p#sd off.
The week starting from Tuesday is definitely gonna be storming.
