I did a Master of 1.5yrs in Lugano,Switzerland and it was definitely a country I would have loved living in, but unfortunately they aren't so keen having immigrants... I think Canada is also a country with rules that are respected (more than in my country at least) and is much better than Switzerland (where in my opinion people are quite strange/unfriendly/distant/false)...So Happy Birthday Canada and may you have us all as your "kids" )
p.s.:In Switzeralnd is wasn't allowed to have your own washing machine and you had to schedule for washing with the other tenants and the "shared" washing machine....

It's an urban myth of course, but in general they are veeeery regulated as a society, together with almost everything in it. Some like it, some don't.
