To anyone who has emailed a query to CIC after waiting the 6 weeks (+++!) without hearing anything - did you get an automated response saying to wait a certain number of days before expecting a response from CIC? I think I remember someone saying I would receive an email saying to expect to wait 20 days but I send the email last week and have had no response whatsoever from CIC. And to Jigzyy and Laksmisesh - our applications were all received at same time on 10 May so fingers crossed for us all this week! Just FYI though - my mum (who is a Canadian Citizen) says lots of governmental agencies shut/limit service for more than one day for Canada Day so we shouldn't panic if things don't start happening at pace tomorrow...
