Can I just ask a quick question regarding fees.

When i sent my application I filled in the fee form for $550, is this correct, I was just reading about the $490 extra once our application is approved. We don't have to supply information about this now do we as I have only authorized them to take the$550..

Hi everyone !
off the topic question(so that I don't think of CIC): in your country are there any "quiet hours" as in from 14-17 you don't drill holes in the walls or slam the hammer?? I have an idiot neighbour doing this since 8:30 am and my kids are trying to sleep!! I am so pis.ed off!!! I do hope in Canada the rules are more strict and punish ppl that don't respect the others !!

Hope I'll see you all tomorrow with better news (from CIC) ! :)

$490 is permanent residency fees which comes at a later stage once application is approaching to its final stage. you are good now.

490/- is RPRF fees (Right of Permanent Residency Fees) which needs to be paid at the time of medical after your file is approved.

@Tashford - Just a simple question! Is there any option of CAD 490 in the Fee Payment Form?

Sorry to say but it will be sent back to you. We have got one case in our spread sheet who has got package returned as he had not signed payment form... Extremely Sorry !!

If you making payment with a draft you don't need to sign but if it's with the a credit card then the signature of the card holder is required.

@ Geverok - This could happen with anyone, no doubt. This is sad. If you have not already reported a loss to your bank, simply ask them to disallow all transaction because you are moving out of the country or whatever reason but only open an international transaction to CIC, Canada worth CAD 1100. I know it works because a similar request has worked for me earlier for some other reasons (but this can be risky at the same time if your bank does not follow as you ask them to do!). Same can happen to your's if your bank permits.

[Only because of this fear, I kept my CC in my cupboard almost two weeks ago. Only take it out when car needs a refuel and then put it back. I'm glad I exercise preventive measures.]
;(
Thank You, Adrenalineforu. I've already reported a loss. I simply forgot that I used this CC for my application..

@Amitind........I updated your entry with the information that you sent me...Please verify though the you DO have a job offer, this is somewhat puzzling to me Amit, since you are applying under noc 2174.....why not apply under the arranged employment programme, for which there is no cap?

You are in a great position with a job offer :) All the best.
