Sorry if I missed the info/answer but why is CIC/CIO checking eligibility also in Sachin9183's case??Isn't this step 2 after CC charge?Marta received that letter with clear cases when an application is rejected/returned...Any idea why they checked also duties now? Again, sorry if I missed the info but taking care of my 2girls and constantly checking the forum on full days is sometimes impossible..
Also @everyone with applications that have more than 6weeks at CIO why don't you contact them to ask about your status?That's what we plan doing in case we see CC charged from the 15th of May except for ours (God forbid!!)..

Yaa good point.... Actually all applicant before 9th-MAy should inquired CIC for their applicaiton....As 6 week already passed... And once you send a mail they will revert in 20 days time. So i think we need to wait more 20 days.... And hopefully start getting news of rejection also, As approved applicaiton will got PER till that time....

I also didnt photocopied the entire appliation. its written in user guide to have it. many friends says its needed at the time when local VO asks. any idea about it?

I think, it is at this stage that they check for the duties for a purticular NOC match with the applicants duties. Later, they will only validate the authenticity of the letter issued. So, if the CIC guys are not convinced with the duties, they may straight away reject the application.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

I didn't photocopy the application also and i'm pis_ed about it, but I can't do anything...I have the filled forms saved on my computer, but that's it... Hopefully I won't need photocopies...

I am facing a dilemma. Your comments are appreciated.

In the past job experience letter sent with my package, my employer had mentioned about the various roles I performed / from-o date/ 40hrs per week/ salary. However, it did not specifically mention the duties I carried out. I had supplemented the letter with few other letter that my employers wrote from time to time to immigration USA etc. that actually mentioned the duties. I had requested CIC in my cover letter to note that as well. I now think that the app might get declined as the job responsibilities are not outlined in the only letter that CIC appreciates.

Meanwhile, I convinced my past employer to put in the duties and obtained a new letter. Is it worth to send only the new letter with a cover letter requesting CIO to include it with my previously sent application? I don't think my app is touched yet by the CIO as they received it on 5th of June. The driver for my thinking being a faint confidence that CIO will respond to the proactivity favorably, understanding that sending the whole package to the applicant for him/her only to include one letter and send it back is not going to make any difference to the end result as far as that one applicant is considered and given all other as aspects of his/her application are tip-top.

On the flip side I am scared of the possibility that no only they will refuse my request to merge the letter with the rest of my app, but also flag the still unopened package as incomplete.

I know we have been talking about the rules that CIO/ CIC is following. But still, is there any room for out of the box thinking/ approach in this case?

I don't think they will add the new info to the existing application. They look at each mail in its entirety. So just hope the old app makes it through...

I assume that "bank balance only" for settlement fund. Ok that's fine. But is assets= gold+stock+ value of motorbike+bank balance?

I get what you are saying but how do you value these illiquid assets? Unless your bank balance is under the thresholds (or borderline), I would suggest leaving the gold et al out of the assets bit. But it is entirely up to you. There is no right or wrong. All I know is Cash is King...
