Once you get your PER and your file has been transferred to your VO and you get UCI (file number)...you will get an email with the info. At that point you can request an addition. For now just enjoy your new baby and prepare documents such as birth certificate and passport. Congrats on the little one.

Much appreciated, we are already enjoying our little one for sure, that's our #1 priority at the moment, but I'd better be prepared for when (and IF) I have to include him on my application package ;)

Hello every body. Do you know when VO calculate our point, they only pick up jobs which matches the NOC we applied to determine our year-of-experience or they simply count all? I dont mind what ever they do because my job's duties and responsibilities match the NOC. The thing is, one of my employment letters saying that i am a software engineer as a role of senior software developer. My ex-company refused to remove software engineer because the template they used are standard and that they couldnt change for me at any cost. In my country any person who has a bachelor degree is called engineer. I have reference letter from my manager confirming I am a software developer including all my duties but company's seal. I do have his business card. Do you think i might be rejected? Thanks in advance.

@ All

I am facing a dilemma. Your comments are appreciated.

In the past job experience letter sent with my package, my employer had mentioned about the various roles I performed / from-o date/ 40hrs per week/ salary. However, it did not specifically mention the duties I carried out. I had supplemented the letter with few other letter that my employers wrote from time to time to immigration USA etc. that actually mentioned the duties. I had requested CIC in my cover letter to note that as well. I now think that the app might get declined as the job responsibilities are not outlined in the only letter that CIC appreciates.

Meanwhile, I convinced my past employer to put in the duties and obtained a new letter. Is it worth to send only the new letter with a cover letter requesting CIO to include it with my previously sent application? I don't think my app is touched yet by the CIO as they received it on 5th of June. The driver for my thinking being a faint confidence that CIO will respond to the proactivity favorably, understanding that sending the whole package to the applicant for him/her only to include one letter and send it back is not going to make any difference to the end result as far as that one applicant is considered and given all other as aspects of his/her application are tip-top.

On the flip side I am scared of the possibility that no only they will refuse my request to merge the letter with the rest of my app, but also flag the still unopened package as incomplete.

I know we have been talking about the rules that CIO/ CIC is following. But still, is there any room for out of the box thinking/ approach in this case?

Thanks.

Based on fsw2174 comments, I realized that my JD was more towards NOC 2173 and not 2174. Since my employer keeps all these JDs generic, I have just asked him to be more towards "Programming" and Database which I actually do. Hoping that might help.
In all, the only thing for me to lose is the courier money, I think I'm OK with it.

or related to the guy next to Dexter(he is wayyy too fast) who is much slowerrrr, and checking very scrupulously each mark on the app. :D

process is very simple.

just take his passport and birthcertificate. and once you get the file number send these documents along with additional family form. and DD of 150CAD.

THATS IT.

Thanks for the support, that's my only real concern, I'm assuming they could be picky about the job duties.

Everything else in my application is according to the minimum requirements.

The only thing that I have to figure out now is when and how should I include my recently born son (he was born right after I applied), maybe you seniors could explain that (I didn't find anything very specific about that on CIC's website)?

Hi all,
I have a confusion here. I have some gold and stock (shares). Can I include them in assets? I don't have any liabilities/credits or payables. So mine liabilities should be zero. Will my assets = settlement fund = current value of gold+ current value of stock + bank balance?

Also can I include my motorbike in assets?

Please help. It's urgent
