Guyzzz plzz answer....wher is it mentioned on CIC website that it would consider applications as FIRST IN & FIRST OUT method :(

As I understand it, CC's are getting charged just after 6 weeks for the early birds. Therefore, the people who applied after the first week should expect more than 6 weeks for a CC charge (if at all). Hopefully we will hear more positive news as we head into the night...

See the end of section 8:
"Applications are date stamped upon receipt at the CIO and then checked for completeness in order by date of receipt. The “application received” date at the CIO is the lock-in date. Processing offices should therefore maintain the application received date from the time of the applicant’s initial submission to the CIO, and process the application to conclusion"

6 Band score in each band for Australia gives you 0 points but still you can apply.

Hey rawdah, do you have any idea how Australians are handling the 6.5 on IELTS? I have an average of 8 but somehow I managed to get 6.5 in the writing part. That counts me out of "7 in all categories", right?

They will still give you 0 for English skills; as it has to be 7 in every category.

Oh bad luck.....such a good average! but definitely you are out of "7" in each category for Australia. :-\

There's another aspect to the statistical analysis. I 's just going through it.

For example; 0211 Category - There is no app received between Dony and DD2211 which is 16th and 22nd (although including weekend). Quite a gap and such is not seen that frequently!! So there is no consistent and set pattern and we never know what might be the actual trend moving forth. It is obvious that as the time moves along the updates shall come in more slowly because the app submission is gradually rising and hence the workload but at the same time such gaps might compensate the otherwise late processing to some extent.
But that is just another way of analysis; there's no derived mathematical formula.

It all depends on how fast they charge CC/DD on a daily basis. so far we heard 3 guys CC had been charged in 3 days and also must be some DD as well but we dont know as no one has reported. It looks to me they are bit slow but at least happy to see they are working.

Buddy, it's otherwise quite obvious even if it's not mentioned. Ever heard of 'Fair-Play' and 'sort-criterion' when things are processed in mass volumes?

If we take 26 for the first day, now assuming at least 10 times more from day 2,now multiplying it by 10 times (per day) = 260.
so 260 times 32 days since the start ( excluding saturday and sunday where they can't accept a Mail ) = 8320.
its only my guess, it can be more or less.....

I think it can't be like that because of simple thing - look at our forum's google sheet and check the intake with each day - it is following the basic logic that there was more applications in first days, let's say in first 15-20 days.
Later the number of apps/day goes down - my $10 say it has to be the same on global level too, that's just how the stats work. ;)

Anyway, my package is hopefully tomorrow at CIC and I think I'll make it. I like what I see in the current stats.
26 apps per day (even if those numbers are really only per 1 day) is not too much and that even went further down in next weeks..

On another topic, just noticed that CIC has made a change on their website. They have now put a small date next to the application form download page. I guess they have received a lot of apps with the older forms...

Grrr.. there are several words and phrases coming to my mind right now... many of them involving institution such as CIC, CIO, immigration Minister etc.
It took them 2 months for FSW 2013 and decades of immigration processing to come up with that!!!

BTW, it makes sense to have a few dozens of people being received even at 4th May - after all - CIC and govt must have friends and relatives somewhere around the world, and wanting to get them in. I'm sure their apps were on Dexter's and Mike's desk before CIC opened on May 4th!

Guys,

I have following questions....

1. I have sent the processing fee through USPS international money order. That is mentioned as one of the valid method for fee payment. But as I see no one in the spreadsheet has done so, I am confused, is it acceptable method?
2. I have included birth certificates with their translation (translation page is a photo copy of notarized document I did earlier). As I am in US and was not sure whom to approach to get those documents certified from Punjabi/Hindi to English. Will that pose any problem?
3. I applied under NOC 2147 and the application was received at CIO on 11th June. Do I hold a chance?
