On another topic, just noticed that CIC has made a change on their website. They have now put a small date next to the application form download page. I guess they have received a lot of apps with the older forms...

The fact is these guys are visiting this forum and learning to amend things as we write our opinions here. Quite a feedback mechanism!

Yes, but the percentage per NOC will be different, since NOC 2147 and 2174 applicants spend most of their time in front of the PC and using the internet. So, I think the percent will be more than 10% in these two NOCs.

Grrr.. there are several words and phrases coming to my mind right now... many of them involving institution such as CIC, CIO, immigration Minister etc.
It took them 2 months for FSW 2013 and decades of immigration processing to come up with that!!!

BTW, it makes sense to have a few dozens of people being received even at 4th May - after all - CIC and govt must have friends and relatives somewhere around the world, and wanting to get them in. I'm sure their apps were on Dexter's and Mike's desk before CIC opened on May 4th!

On that note, we all still live (whether it's pleasant to accept or not, I know many will shake their heads) in a more or less hierarchical society, the ones who get to the higher position SOONER, help themselves to piss on the head of the people beneath as much as they want/can/are legally allowed to. Mr. JK is just one example, indeed a very small example.

But for now, just to revitalize the atmosphere, let's focus on good news and good things happening. Keep them coming dudes.

I guess there were quite a number of outdated docs and this is the outcome

Seems that CIC, themselves were not completely ready on 4th May. They keep on updating few forms with the mixture of old ones, which created a lot of confusion among the applicants. And now this mixture of forms are confusing them also, and has lowered their evaluation speed.
They have asked the IT guy to put the dates in front of the forms to avoid the confusion.
We should request the govt. to increase their salary, so they work efficiently! ;D

Anyway, UPS says my parcel is in Kentucky right now, so I already see it tomorrow at CIC and from all that I saw here and at CIC, I'm pretty sure that even the 2174 cap is not filled yet. So I'm one happy camper!

And I'm definitely sure that anyone who's app was received in May can just comely lay down and start sipping some relaxant of their own choice. I was thinking from the start that our Google sheet will make 20% or more of total apps for 2174 and it looks like that's going to be close. And if so - the game's still on!

Guys,

I have following questions....

1. I have sent the processing fee through USPS international money order. That is mentioned as one of the valid method for fee payment. But as I see no one in the spreadsheet has done so, I am confused, is it acceptable method?
2. I have included birth certificates with their translation (translation page is a photo copy of notarized document I did earlier). As I am in US and was not sure whom to approach to get those documents certified from Punjabi/Hindi to English. Will that pose any problem?
3. I applied under NOC 2147 and the application was received at CIO on 11th June. Do I hold a chance?

Is it after they charge the CC/BD or before? So, if they are saying there are 13 complete applications received in NOC 1112. Does this mean that 13 CC/BD have been charged already or yet to be charged?

Any idea?

Yes balkanada, I have 0 doubt that for 2174 and 2147 for FSW 2013, the assumption made by seniors in forum (5-10% of global apps) is wrong. We'll see soon. It's more than that for sure. So be logically and practically positive and calm yet active

No, you don't have to, but in the case a VO becomes suspicious and asks for further proof, you'll be like :'( and they'll be like 8)
In all this time I promise you I'll be like ;D So in short to answer you: Your choice.
