People.... Looks like bad news but yes foreign services offices (which include CIC ) seem to be in strike mode ( not working at full capacity)... Please read thru

http://news.nationalpost.com/2013/06/06/foreign-service-workers-target-harpers-european-trip-with-walkout-in-ottawa-key-missions-abroad/

It mentions clearly how it affects the PR processing and immigration services....

" While essential workers will remain on the job, the walkouts will stall processing of immigration applications and other consular work, as well as things such as trade talks and ministerial visits.

“So we will now be targeting all of the government’s top international priorities, as well as all cabinet-level travel, including that of the prime minister, which we hadn’t touched until now,” said Edwards.

“The ramifications on the immigration side, I think you can probably guess. It’s going to mean a massive backlog and huge reduction in the pace and volume of the processing of visas and permanent resident applications in these locations.” "

Another worry added to our ordeal.....

Applications are now ordered as following:
NOC
Date Received
Time Received

Centralized Intake Office is not included in these. These strikes are going on in CHC outside Canada.

I just hope you are right jigzy..... :) :)

Everytime I get a news release from CIC on my e-mail I feel shivers down my spine, but the last one was special. It begins with "More than seven thousand people...". Oh God, that was close.

Ottawa, June 10, 2013 — More than seven thousand people a day, from all around the globe, are using the Come to Canada Wizard to conjure up answers to their immigration questions. The Wizard has now seen more than four million visits since it was launched in August 2011.

Someone from the forum made a post about CIC requesting a copy of his/her passport with a validity of more than 6 months. His name is "Bagi"

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/cic-asked-me-to-submit-a-copy-of-my-passport-t151426.0.html

Does anyone know him/her and can verify if this request was made recently?

This provides a good indication of the CIC responding.

Heh, thanks for sorting by time, otherwise my OCD wouldn't have let me sleep tonight :D

And what does one need to do to get editing access to the spreadsheet?

Easy.....please courier to Myself Jigzzy and Marta PR cards for all our family members as soon as possible ;) ;) :D :D

:D Only administrators have access right now.....there is a wait-list for new admins for if/when they become needed. Idoit has firmly placed himself at the front of that line. 8)

I noticed before three days that I didn't send IMM5406E application for my wife :( I don't know why I get married >:(
But I am not very angry, because my application received in 31 May on NOC 2147, and I think I am already late and the CAP is full.
