What is the difference between old Generic form (12-2012) and the new Generic form (05-2013) - except the footer??? ???

Yes the footer and the way they generate the barcodes. It's up to them now if they reject on the basis of footer or the format of the form.

All I know is that there were no differences in the questionaires and the content format. I really just don't know when it comes to barcoding. We will hope for the best that it will be considered and our application will be processed by the grace of God.

ITS NOT LIKE THAT..I AM WRITING THIS RESPONSE BASED ON THE CASE WHICH I HAVE SEEN HAVING SAME PROBLEM.

This kind of problem you will see atleast 2 out of 100 in india!

If that is that much easy ,then municipal people manipulate so many birthdates!! there are about million Amar in India!!

They NEVER re-issue just verbally accepting and taking request in. Court has to involve in this matter!! its very difficult task for Amar.

Once he convey Court about the typo mistake in register then only Court will issue Order and Municipal follow the order.

THERE MUST BE SOME AUTHORITY WHO SEND THEM REQUEST TO MAKE CHANGE IN BDATE AND RE-ISSUE THE CERTIFICATE!

IF MUNICIPAL PEOPLE GIVE POWER TO TAKE THEIR OWN DECISION THEN THERE ARE MILLIONS OF PEOPLE IN INDIA TO MAKE SUCH A REQUEST!!

It's no the matter of how many days would they take. Its what CIC requires from you. If you send incomplete documents, it is going to be returned back to you as incomplete. Get that corrected in Municipal register, and have it reissued, this will be better instead of all the other documents.

Just tell them that who ever registered in the register at that time made a mistake as it got registered as 3 instead of 13th. Provide Matric result and passport copy & if possible your National ID to prove that it's indeed 13th.

Hi fsw2174 and jigzyy

Thanks for you support.

I have decided to go through the amendment process now. I talked to municipal person and he said he will get this done within one week. So, I am being optimistic that I might still fall in 300, though my NOC is 2174 :o :-\ :-X

I know based on what he is convience!! ;)

anyway, offer him bit more he can issue in day! :)

ALL THE BEST.

Yes you know better :)
But still all would be done in legal way, so that any inquiry later is fulfilled .

Based on the CIC website http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/complete-applications.asp, only complete applications will count towards the cap. Agreed.

But based on the application guide website http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/EG7TOC.asp#eg77, it mentions that the "completeness check" phase entails the following:

Citizenship and Immigration Canada reviews your application to make sure that:
  • all required fields in your application forms are complete,
  • all required documents are submitted from Document Checklist (IMM 5612), and
  • the correct processing fee payment has been made

If your application is:

incomplete or;
the allowable cap limit has been reached,
your entire package (including your payment) will be returned to you with a letter explaining why it is being returned.

In essence this means that those, for example, who applied under NOC 1112 and don't have the right job responsibilities will still count under the cap. Yes, their application may get rejected at the "Eligibility Review" phase but they will still be counted towards that cap.

So does this mean that only c.225 applications will be processed assuming 75% acceptance rate? And not the 300 as promised?

No one knows the cap details yet apart from the forum and the guessing. Just get the documents completed and IF the cap is not out by than, you are good to submit. It's all about Luck!

They will keep few of the applications, say 50~100 still after 300 passes the first stage, so if few the applications get rejected in Eligibility review, they can move those out and bring the new one in.

This is what I understand. Going by the guide, they may OR may not get 50 this way for the cap of 300 :D

Thanks jigzyy. I know this is a grey area but I hope CIC do the right thing and give away all 5000 PRs.

You mean ther could be a concept of WAIT LIST !!! involved for the extra 50~100 applications?

I feel both of your assumptions seem not correct, they would definitely check for the job responsibilities as one of the eligibility criteria and if those applications not matching the job responsibilities as per the NOC criteria will not fall within the cap and returned.

Moreover 75 % acceptance is rather a very high percentage.

Opinions welcome !

Good question, *I just checked and couldn't find any except the footer date. This has created a hope that the old generic form will also be accepted as there is no difference in information. Don't know if the bar-codes are with date or not ?

a wait list is possible. however, if nobody from the first 300 is rejected, those on the "wait list" will be so unlucky because they will be the last people to hear from CIC. or... they will be so fortunate/blessed if eventually a few won't be qualified during the review of application.
