SBO ,

You are right this is all luck and this game is of luck. I have also an astonishing story to tell. This is my third submission first time my file got rejected in 2011 becuase I could not prove my relationship points with my uncle in canada never submitted the birth certificate or any documents other than pr copy thinking they can check from their system. My mistake! The file was returned.

Second time in 2012 I sent again, this time file was returned for ridiculous reason. Because I had placed original of IELTS in my first attempt I placed a copy of my IELTS second time with a copy of ielts along with my rejection letter from first time. Now when my file was returned it was written on the returned letter that because I had not explained why there was copy of IELTS in the file and not original attached the file is being returned. I was damned. I saw the check list it was true that in the check list it was written. But comon who on earth would not understand seeing the rejection letter and copy of IELTS. Can you imagine that. It was written in my opening letter that I am applying again because my file was rejected first time. There was UCI no. in it. There was copy of IELTS and still they returned the file.

This is my third time and I hope I make it this time. I have given new IELTS and everything that was required and crossing my fingers.
How long in average did CIC take to return your packages?
Did they send you an email before returning your application?

They are probably too tired to be signing hundreds of applications daily. They start with full name in the morning and shorten them till the end of the day. ;D

Guys could you please, take off some pink from the top it's so hard to look at it the whole day ...buhaha

Thanks

Hi guys in order to assist with trying to get as many applicants as possible to sign up for your spreadsheet I have also added a link from my get2canada blog:
http://get2canada.wordpress.com/

As well as publicizing this in a front page post I have also added a link to both the thread and the spreadsheet on my blogroll on the left hand side.

Hopefully this may attract a few more applicants to share their details and timeline!

Best of luck,
Wayne.

Thank you Wayne for helping us out.

BTW according to your old figures, NOC 2174 has already overflowing as of today :-\ I hope x40 calculation is not going to apply this time as ECA is involved [as for now, like first couple weeks]. What do you think ?

The x40 calculation (i.e. our forum populus represented around 2.5% of the total worldwide applications) was about right at the time.
But nobody really has any idea for certain how many applicants this thread / spreadsheet represents compared to the worldwide total.

But just to put things into perspective, even if this thread represents TWICE as many applicants % wise as our 2010 spreadsheet did, this would make it around 5% of applications. Meaning the totals for each NOC should be multiple by 20 in order to get a global figure.

This would make 600 applications for 2174 out of 300 spots available!

The figures when CIC start publishing them will be artificially a bit behind. The reason being that their figures will only represent applications which have been opened and have successfully passed the completeness check. There could be many more which are still unopened. So if, for example, the first set of figures say that they have 210 applications received for NOC 2174, the actual true total could easily be double that.

Well we'll have to see, all any of us can really do at this stage is guess.

However, my personal guess is that any application for NOCs 2174, 2147 and 1112 (especially NOC 2174) not received in the first 2 weeks of this (i.e. this week and next week) may ultimately find they haven't got within the cap.

Wayne.
