Impressive guessing work and figures. Let's hope for the best. As no one is really sure how much CIC is flooded right now. We will only know once they update figures.Cappuccino said:The x40 calculation (i.e. our forum populus represented around 2.5% of the total worldwide applications) was about right at the time.
But nobody really has any idea for certain how many applicants this thread / spreadsheet represents compared to the worldwide total.
But just to put things into perspective, even if this thread represents TWICE as many applicants % wise as our 2010 spreadsheet did, this would make it around 5% of applications. Meaning the totals for each NOC should be multiple by 20 in order to get a global figure.
This would make 600 applications for 2174 out of 300 spots available!
The figures when CIC start publishing them will be artificially a bit behind. The reason being that their figures will only represent applications which have been opened and have successfully passed the completeness check. There could be many more which are still unopened. So if, for example, the first set of figures say that they have 210 applications received for NOC 2174, the actual true total could easily be double that.
Well we'll have to see, all any of us can really do at this stage is guess.
However, my personal guess is that any application for NOCs 2174, 2147 and 1112 (especially NOC 2174) not received in the first 2 weeks of this (i.e. this week and next week) may ultimately find they haven't got within the cap.

What do you think is the main reason for high number of applicants against some NOCs like 2174 and comparatively very less applicants against some NOCs. Was this NOC ( 2174 ) not included in previous FSWP? And how long will it take to fill NOC like 0211 and 3215?Cappuccino said:However, my personal guess is that any application for NOCs 2174, 2147 and 1112 (especially NOC 2174) not received in the first 2 weeks of this (i.e. this week and next week) may ultimately find they haven't got within the cap.
