I just got the PER email from CIC, they have provided the UCI, application number and receipt number !
So relieved now!! And my best wishes to everyone here. Don't worry folks, don't lose your patience , you'd ultimately make it!!!

Can you please let me know how does a UCI look like? all numbers in this format XXXX-XXXX ?? And if someone has applied for a Visa (visitor/work) before do they keep the same UCI number for immigration visa?

Yes, UCI is a 8 digit number (at least, mine is)

I am not sure about keeping the same number, possibly yes. Coolguy or somebody else with more experience can comment on that.

It takes 36-37 working days to encashed each application irrespective of NOC

UCI or Unique Client Identifier is a pin-point number allotted to an entity by Canadian govt. to be identified on all visa matters henceforth. It is a set of 2 four numbers separated by a hyphen. The GCMS keeps track of all the applications made against an allotted UCI and will know when, how, how many times and all previous history of the all the applications against respective UCIs.
However, not all those who apply get a UCI; I mean, if CIC finds an application incomplete at a very basic requirement, they will simply close and return the application without entering anything in to the GCMS.

Guys, do you realize that out of 12 people who sent their apps by May 8, 50% have been accepted? 8)

That's good news, i'm excited for them,more to come...

Happy for that Amar.....hope you can relax a bit, like I said I have seem more than one person do that and still get visa. It depends on your total package I think.

She just may have been lucky. Wont advise anyone to do such. Its very unfair.
