IRCC just announced they are going to allow all approved CoPR (before March 16th) to land during travel restrictions.... exact details to be released next week.

Just mention that you are unable to travel because of travel restrictions, and you are willing to travel as soon as the travel restrictions are lifted. when the travel restrictions are lifted, send another webform

this seems to be few months affair, Alberta and BC have suspended their school indefinitely. for now the daily active cases is increasing. the first signs of border opening will be when the daily active cases start declining and there is a talk of schools resuming, then i think govt will start...

they have made it clear, there is no extension. you do not have to reapply, but all the process will be redone.

they have made it clear on their website that one will need new criminal, security and passport check along with medical. so it just seems like a new application processing.

what is the actual response you got ? we have raised several webforms for our parents, not response at all.

DO you represent IRCC? Can you guarantee it will be resolved with in a reasonable time (a couple of months). IRCC has a very bad reputation. They even cancelled a backlog of applicants once, people who were waiting for PR a few years. I do not trust them when it comes to clearing backlog...

some people quit their job, sell their car etc etc. it becomes essential for them to travel.

"essential" is very subjective, there are some people like my parents, they had wrapped up their life back in their home country. Sold property etc. IT IS essential for them to come. if they do not come it's more hardship for them. because it will take another couple of years for them to get PR...

I have been in this situation before and ended up taking 2 extra years. this time it's for my parents and I am worried they might not clear medical exam as they are approaching 70

the problem is that airlines are not allowing you to travel unless you have a PR card in hand...

essentially no one wants to own it now. they are very well aware, thousands of people have this question and are in stressful situation right now. If some official can come ahead and at least annouce that no COPR can land, that will be accepable, but no clear information is worse.

it is not just a possibility they have made it clear on their website that your file will reopen and all formalities will be done again .... including medical test, criminal check, passport and security check. with the past experience of dealing with IRCC it will take at least 2-3 years to clear...

this is for the land border, there is no such tweet on flying .....
